This hasn't happened since 2012 . . .

The Detroit News Published 11:11 am ET Oct. 4th, 2021

Possibly explosive materials have been found in Windsor near the Ambassador Bridge, police said. Officials also said they have evacuated the area and shut down the bridge to all traffic.

Somehow I would think it would be explosives on our side of the border.

And people would demand the bridge to remain open as a 99% chance the suspicious package was nothing.

Traffic to the USA was slowed down, but not stopped completely.

Yeah, they don't say much. Just that 'it' was found during a secondary inspection. So, I'm assuming it came from the states and was pulled over in Canada for inspection.

This day and age though, it could have been a book of matches...

Good info, thanks. Some new questions . . .

What are these explosives and how much of it did they find?

Why would someone try to transport "explosives" into Canada and who would use them?

Was this a U.S. citizen entering Canada, a Canadian coming back to Canada, or someone from another country like Mexico?

I did read an update that it was an individual. There were no threats made and the person had a container with two inactive grenades.

Ah, some collector with no ill intent, other than customs violations.

OK, no real conspiracy in that I suppose.
