I just found out that if you go fishing for fish in the ocean, these salmon were all affected by deformed gills. Apparently they weren't able to breath. Something like that. So check the gills of your fish and see if they are deformed .

Die offs possibly caused by higher than average sea surface temperatures. Salmon health is strongly affected by water temperature.

“Water temperature in Hokkaido today is 19.7°C. Based on our historical data over a period of ten years, the warmest water in this day in Hokkaido was recorded in 2012 and was 21.1°C, and the coldest was recorded in 2017 at 17.4°C. Sea water temperature in Hokkaido is expected to drop to 17.2°C in the next 10 days. October average water temperature in Hokkaido is 16.8°C, the minimum temperature is 12.6°C, and the maximum is 22.3°C.”

So the "deformed gills" are nothing to do with radiation poisoning then?

According to the International Conference of Genetics, mutations due to the explosion at Chernobyl nuclear power plants will last 800 years.

The epicenter of radiation was the Red Forest and the Pripyat River, the most harmful substances got there. It is there that you can meet mutants, both among plants and among animals.
