House Budget Chair Yarmuth: $3.5 Trillion in Spending ‘Is Pretty Inconsequential’ – ‘Government Can Afford Anything’

These people deserve a special place in hell.

On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth (D-KY) said that $3.5 trillion in spending under the reconciliation bill “is pretty inconsequential when you consider all the benefits to the American people,” and “The federal government can afford anything that it feels it needs to do.”

Spending trillions we don't have is 'inconsequential' !

Someone explain it to me.

Really.

How is saddling a debt we can't pay for, our kids can't pay for ,their grand kids can't pay in our best interest?

So, to add another $3.4 or [$3.5] trillion to it, is very — I think is pretty inconsequential when you consider all the benefits to the American people, and these are benefits that will last for decades.”

How is another $61 trillion over the next 10 years ontop of on top of another $29 Trillion. 'inconsequential ?

In related news.

Removing the debt ceiling altogether.

I retort.

You decide.

If your not in gold, silver, crypto your going to get eaten alive when the numbers from spending no longer matter.

I love how he says the federal government can afford anything.

Why can't these morons understand that nothing is government funded and everything is tax payer funded?

It's so easy to spend someone else's money.

Isn't the entire US Federal budget like $4T?

No Neo, see you don't understand! See, to Demonrats spending money is how we GROW the economy. It's not stealing from the left hand, pocketing some and putting it in the right hand, no! It's how we became the strongest economy in the world, see? It's how we started all of those wonderful ideas and inventions over the past two centuries, and became the leader of the free world! NO?

In reality, what you're seeing is what communists always do when they take over a country--destroy the economy, force people onto the government dole, and then you can control them. On top of that we have probably 400 of 435 Representatives that have no understanding of market economics or who could explain a demand curve, and most of them don't want to know--they're too busy trying to get control of the money so that they can dole it out to their friends and maintain power and control. Lastly, you also have a number of nitwits in Congress (mostly on the LEFT) who want to believe in MMT--Modern Monetary Theory. This incredibly stupid idea says that as a sovereign government we can spend whatever we want to without repercussion, because we can always legislate the value of our money to cover whatever we spend. Obviously some genius college perfesser came up with this one, who is also probably a communist sack of dog shiite, but that's beside the point. There are a fair number of politicians who ascribe to that theory, as it helps them in their quest for power.

Yes. And we borrowed and gave out an additional $5 Trillion over the past year, in the name of Corona Virus "rescue" payments.

Could the inflation we're seeing now on goods/services be a result of that additional $5 Trillion expenditure?

No..
The revenue received was $4T
The budget was $6T

So a couple trillion in the red.
Year after year...

We have allowed this.

The American people have more sacred cows than India and God forbid we piece one out for our survival as a nation.

It's an apocalypse of the comfortable today raining down fire and brimstone on their own children tomorrow.

Taxpayers should be redesignated as "Interest Payers" because that's where your taxes are going, straight to interest on the loans from the FED.

We are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past things being taxpayer funded.

Technically, it's not our money...used to be, but not anymore.

When the plan you want for the future requires the collapse of everything first, it's not hard to understand why they're not concerned with the consequences of what they're doing.

Think bigger, and the logic becomes apparent.

For those with weak attention spans, let me sum up what the Biden administration is doing.

1. They demand everything that is wrong for America in a spending plan that will destroy America.

2. Politicians compromise.

3. They pass a compromised spending plan that will destroy America.

and too you, cutting revenue is the way? So you have a household with 2 working parents, 1parents quits his/her job so as too bring in less money. That is the republican way.

You want less taxes? sure. that means you want to defund the military? OMG. You want less road work or too defund the police? So which is it? What do you think the military budget is over 10 years? Over or under 3.5 trillion?

You never heard the saying "you have to spend money to make money"?

And all the educated and brilliant over-thought opinions go bye-bye with the "reduced" destruction plan 🤣

From what i see they'll 'make themselves mega rich then do a runner to a country they've bought and live the high life till they die. Leaving behind devastation that wont bother them one jot.
