That's right nice ATS party people, I got the COVID! The best part is I have the Pfizer inoculation. My second dose was in March. How did I get it ya ask? Well, cozy up...
On the 17th I was with my friend. Everything was normal, Just your typical hanging out and watchin' some youtube. The 18th I dis not see him as he was working. But the 19- the 21st he had the worst headache of his life. On the 21 he started to have congestion and shortness of breath. I asked him to go get tested. He does not go to get tested until Thursday the 23rd. He had to wait 3 days to get results. This is despite there being a place that you can get a result back within 12 hours. He also could have spent 24 bucks on an at home test and had the results in fifteen minuets. But, no. Of course today he gets results. He does not tell me that he tested positive. My uncle found this out from his kid that lives with my friend.

Now this whole time I have been going about my day. I have bad allergies and I have felt no different other then maybe some sneezing. My pre-schoolers have had little colds for the past 3 weeks. I had not been around my friend since before he was sick.
My uncle got me one of the rapid tests and shure enough I am positive for COVID. I was at the store today before I took this test or knew about my friend. I was like.... why does Target not smell like popcorn?

Anyway the biggest issue with the whole COVID thing is that my uncle just had double bipass surgery. He is in another outside house in the back yard but comes in for using the bathroom. My grandmother is 82 and is upstairs.

My grammie has Moderna and my uncle has J&J so does his wife. They have negative tests.

Anyhow, my uncle is about to kill my friend for spreading COVID. My friends roommates ,my cousin and his wife, have their vaccines I am not sure what the wife has but she got COVID. My friend is unvaccinated. He is super sick!...

My classroom is going to be shut down for 10 days. All kids will need to test negative. So will my co teacher as well as myself.

I thought I had a cold the kids in my class had until Friday... Hate COVID..... Seriously... I feel fine and am stuck in my room!

Your friends is a douche. No sense of personal or social responsibility… I wouldn’t want to see that person at least for a bit maybe never.

Hope you get better and that all your students are ok!

Well... He has a bit of history with the family. He has been part of it since he was ten and my uncle is like his dad.

I agree with you... His inability to take care of himself goes WAY beyond this incident.

How do you know who gave it to whom? He came down with it 4 days after hanging out with you. Perhaps you gave it to him.
Do you know for sure when you were infected? Maybe one of the little kids at school with a "little cold" actually had a case of the 'rona. Who can say?

I can't say for certainty that it was my friend who gave it to me. What I can say is that at my school we have the children get tested if they come down with signs and symptoms. The children that have had the symptoms have all come back negative. He on the other hand presented with a severe headache a cough runny nose congestion throwing up extreme fatigue shortness of breath. I know that you could be contagious before showing signs and symptoms.

I recently had a similar but opposite situation with my roommate. I'm not vaccinated and he was, he got it and spread it to me. He never told me he was sick or had tested positive for covid, that upset me quite a bit.

People need to be responsible, if you feel sick, get tested, and if you are positive tell everyone you've been in recent contact with and take all the safe steps necessary to avoid spreading it. It is a fairly deadly virus to those that are high risk.

Wait...I thought if everyone just got the vax it would all go back to normal and none of this would be a problem...

Also there is quite a good chance you may have given it to him a once your vaxed it takes longer for the virus to show symptoms if it all. But you can still spread it just fine...as you are clearly worried about right now. If it were me in your shoes I would slow down a bit on the blame game and maybe stay at a motel for a week or 2. At the least maybe switch with your uncle to reduce your exposure to those you mentioned it risk in your house.

He was the one that was presenting with signs and symptoms first. I'm not saying that it couldn't have coming from someone else. I'm presenting the information that I have on a situation that has occurred.

I am NOT one of those people who believe the unvaccinated are the ones that are spreading COVID.
Quite to the contrary. I think the vaccinated population could cause for more spread because they may not know they have it with such few symptoms in some people.

We are keeping it so I am in my space. He is in his. We will be good. There is minimal crossing of paths.

I am not blaming. I am stating what has happened in the house as it happened. My uncle is the one blaming people! He is an M80!

You know, I wanted to take a moment to apologize for my previous post. It was rude and inappropriate, and I normally don't do things like that. I think the stress of this is starting to build in me like most. I shall try to do better in the future...

He is unvaccinated so obviously he gave it to everyone else.

That's the logic these days.
