Status Quo bassist Alan Lancaster dies aged 72.

We are loosing quite a few musicians lately. Alan Lancaster of Status Quo fame has passed away age 72.

Although not a huge fan of the band myself, they did have some good bouncy tunes to rock along to.

Oh no!!! I'm in my early 30's and love these guys. This melody was stuck in my head for years! Lol it wasn't until I asked my father and played this on a piano that he let me know it was this song.

Very sad as he wasn't so old.

Status Quo songs were pub favourites and great sing-a-longs... and you didn't have to be drunk to enjoy them.

Pictures Of Matchstick Men is a great song! I used to play it in some of my bands. Yes, 72 is too young. Condolences to his family.
