Though the number of refugees in Wisconsin has grown week by week, the U.S. halted incoming flights last week after discovering cases of measles among the refugees, including one case at Fort McCoy.

That's right, the gift that keeps on giving! Some said the conspiracy was the Covid was mild, the vaccine would weaken people and then "they" would usher in a much more deadly disease......is this it??

On a side note, I don't know if it is true but have no reason to believe it isn't. A local lady said she had hotel reservations that were abruptly cancelled by the government as they need the space for Afghan Refugees. She was very upset as she had them booked months in advanced. She said others were cancelled also. Again, I don't know this first hand but why would somone make this up? Just what we need sickly people spread all about the community...

WASHINGTON, Sept 17 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden on Friday signed an executive order adding measles to a list of communicable diseases that could require quarantine after several Afghan refugees were diagnosed with the highly contagious disease after arriving in the United States.

Is this just for Afghans or is this a way to do another quarantine?...

"All arriving Afghans are required to get vaccinated for measles, as well as for diseases like polio and COVID-19, as a condition of remaining in the United States," the official said.

The local news here is that they are being asked, not that it is a requirement, don't know if that is something that has changed.

Unlikely, since measles is hardly deadly except to a tiny, tiny fraction of people - much, much less than those at risk of COVID.

It's the Biden trainwreck spiraling with each passing day.

First, utterly fail in Afghanistan. Then scurry refugees out via /deleted/ fire drill (while leaving Americans behind). THEN discover said refugees brought along diseases, so go fire drill again to try and contain that.

Really hate to ask what's next.

Most of us in the U.S. were vaccinated for life against measles and have nothing to worry about.

The vaccine, at least the mRNA one which I did investigate method of action of somewhat, steers your immune system pretty much towards fighting covid and it does possibly make you more susceptable to other viruses or microbial infections. I cannot say how much of reduction it will do, but any vaccine or actually getting the disease does this too to unrelated microbes other than the one vaccinated for. This is just a little more potent and targetted, so it is more than most of the other vaccines generally used. Multiple vaccines also hype up the immune response to their intended virus or pathogen also.

Normally when we experience a virus, the immune system makes antigens if needed and tosses an innate response at it first. The immune system keeps a hard drive of past infections, a library of antigens in the pinneal gland if I remember right, and when needed immune system visit it through the blood system I think, a certain kind of messenger cell, and then it gives a copy to the specialized immune system cell and it goe s to the liver or pituitary gland with that info. That triggers production of killer and tagging immune cells, I think those are B cells of a specific kind. After the the threat is lowered the killer cells are reset for other threats by different kind of antigens or do their regular job. I am doing this from memory and trying to translate it to laymans terms, specifics get lost in the translation, those who want to learn about it can find articles on it from specialists at university sites.

Now if the vaccine increases the long term production of many antigens, the immune system focuses on that and keeps searching for and are armed with weapons for a virus that is not there. Usually if the exposure is reduced, the immune system fights less threating things, and will focus on getting rid of cancer cells too. When needed, in a day or so the immune system ramps up against the covid again if it is not being confused by chemicals, the liver kind of shuts down if overloaded trying to detox food chemicals and metabolic waste if it is too high to protect itself...so that ups the risk too if you eat lots of junk food. The kidneys also can get overloaded, but they do not shut down, in fact they kind of go the other way dumping more into the urine. But the kidneys can also get poisoned if too much metabolic waste is released at one time...which is bad too. That is why they want us to drink water or coffee, it flushes things out of our body, too much water can also cause salt to be depleted too, plus other electrolytes. That causes our immune system to suffer if hyponatremia. hypovolemia, or hypoglycemia occur.

So, in conclusion, this vaccine does make a person more susceptable to other viruses and pathogens because of it's design. They had to split the dose to dampen the negative impact of the mRNA vaccines because of this, but that itself causes other problems the way they are doing it. I am not enthused with these vaccines, they might work for the majority of people...over fifty one percent....but there seems to be more risks than with other vaccines. For some people the vaccine is more dangerous than the virus. I have a severe reaction starting the day after from the flu vaccine and I was told that the cytokine storm from the vaccine being injected was more of a risk of dying for me than getting the flu by the doctor who witnessed it.

Sorry for getting a little overboard with some terms, I don't want to confuse anyone. I hope I explained it right. Hope I did not bore anyone too badly either.

That is only the last thirty years that they have been pushing the measles vaccine. I have lifetime protection from getting it when I was young. Also, I never heard of anyone locally who ever died from getting the measles, and if someone had died in Houghton County from it, gossip spread way faster than on facebook or twitter back in the sixties and seventies. Phones were ringing a lot and everyone talked about things at the stores and social functions, so unless you let it go in one ear and out the other, you heard about that kind of stuff. When someone got the measles in school, the whole town knew where to bring their kids to get them when they were young, same with chicken pox.

The vaccine DOES NOT make you more susceptible to other viruses.

Many vaccines require multiple doses. Hep A and Hep B. I know, I've had both. Shingles, my next vaccine is in two shots.

My Hep A and B went like this. Hep A shot, Hep B shot, then a month later another shot. Six months later another shot, and I believe a booster after one year.

I got those shots 20 years ago. No problems. I got the Covid shot. No problems. I'll be getting the shingles shot. And I'm betting no problem.

I've been getting vaccines since I was four. Measles, Tetanus, Mumps, Polio. NO PROBLEMS. And I've never been sick enough to go to hospital in all that time. And I've been around six decades.

Vaccines have a PROVEN TRACK RECORD, period. If you don't like them fine, but you guys make up so much BS about them. Realize that there's lots of gullible people out there eating it up. Including tons on this board.

Stop with the scare tactics. Stop being so afraid. The paranoia you guys carry is starting to get annoying to the rest of use living in the real world.

a reply to: JAGStormIf I recall correctly, measles is one of the most transmissible of all infectious diseases; so the Afghan group's placement in hotel isolation may be a first step in preventing any more measles transmission. Further, some of the complications of measles, such as blindness, are major so that has to be taken into account as well.

In the first news article on this event that I saw (a few hours ago), part of the discussion about that isolation process mentioned a plan to vaccinate the Afghani immigrant groups against measles. Once the health status of these Afghans is established, then the healthy persons can be vaccinated right away, as part of their US Immigration process.

www.disabledveterans.org...

Who is pushing scare tactics. We are here today because our ancestors had immunity to a lot of diseases, only the ones with good immunity survived. I do not fear this virus one bit, it is a wimpy virus that can be controlled by many antiviral food and herb chemistries already known about. The measles, we got them over quickly when we were young, if you got them when you were a teenager the risks of long term side effects from the fever were worse.

The pro-vaxers are pushing fear like crazy about some things, but I do not attack them.

They on the other hand attack me because I say this vaccine is bad and too many vaccines are not good for anyone. I believe in natural immunity, sorry I can't be brainwashed. Yes, some vaccines were a good idea, like the polio and others in the past.

How about TB....They discovered a medicine to treat it and altered the people's diet by pushing a nutritional agenda to get people to consume more benzoic acid and added sodium benzoate to certain foods and TB disappeared because benzoate compounds like tomatoes and oranges and of course cinnamon protect you from the TB. That was the biggest successful medical campaign in history. It did have it's drawbacks by altering the gut flora though. It caused some other problems but if you just eat benzoic acids like every other day, it helps to protect you. Now, they push vaccines and meds on us, people are sicker nowadays than they were when I was a kid in the sixties.

You have the right to believe in what you want to believe in. I do not believe in this mRNA vaccine and also that so many vaccines are necessary to stay healthy. Every time you get a shot, there is a risk of infection...every single time...never anywhere does it say there is no risk in medical science.

What about Polio? The United States hasn't had a case since 1976, or was it 1978? I remember reading a news article a couple years ago that Afghanistan still had cases of polio. I'll have to do some digging and see what I can find..

Last American case of polio was 1979. And I don't think there is any polio in Afghanistan. Being a recent member of the Rotary Club, they have eradicated it from the world except for a very few cases in Western Africa.
