So yes, I joke first and was thinking a bit more deeply after. If the path to tyranny is a slippery slope, what hill is worth taking a stand on? Masks don’t seem enough of a threat

His speech was good. He blocked local governments from mandating vaccines but left businesses the ability to require their employees to get vaccinated. Local governments should not have the ability to make businesses mandate vaccines, the employer is the one who loses an employee if the employee quits because they do not trust this vaccine, not the government. It can be a hardship on a business to lose an employee, if they want to require it, it is their choice, not the governments. An employee can get vaccinated if they want, that is not the issue here, it is making sure government does not mandate vaccinations at any level. Can the feds override this for their employees? Yes, the feds are paying the paycheck, they are the employer, they can mandate vaccines for their employees in that state. The cities can mandate their own employees, this governors action only touches the private sector.

That is what I got out of his speech.

I have been saying all along , the South will be the last to fall to UN control .
Georgia made it against the law for any district , county , or city to pass mask mandates a while back .

Our governor here in Missouri released and statement saying that vaccine mandates from the feds had no place in Missouri and they would fight them. It was a couple days ago.

Gov's Statement

Today, Governor Mike Parson announced that his administration will reject the Biden Administration's attempt to enforce an unconstitutional, federal vaccine mandate for Missourians and private businesses. The Office of the Governor has been in communication with leadership from the Missouri General Assembly and the Attorney General's Office to align resources for a pending legal fight.

"This assault on individual liberty and free enterprise is a poorly executed attempt by the Biden Administration to reset after its disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan," Governor Parson said. "With our southern border in crisis and as we are experiencing out-of-control inflation, President Biden is desperate to divert attention from his failures. However, Missouri will not be a pawn in this publicity stunt that seeks to force Missourians to disclose private health care decisions and dictate private business operations."

Yesterday, during a speech at the White House, President Biden announced plans to use the Occupational Safety and Health Admisntration (OSHA) to issue an unconstitutional vaccine mandate for private employers. This action would infringe on Missouri's constitutional authority and exceeds the scope of the authority granted to either President Biden or OSHA. The President cannot legislate with the flick of his pen from the Oval Office and OSHA cannot dictate personal health care decisions for Missourians. Missouri is not under an OSHA state plan, and Governor Parson will not allow state employees to be used to enforce this unconstitutional action.

Its called the removal of the Bill of Rights .
But , apparently , in Georgia and South Carolina it won't come to that .

Missouri is more a border state, and Kansas would come too except they effed up and elected that piece of excrement Laura Kelly to the governorship. So long as she's in charge, they'll march along with the rest of the blue states despite not exactly being one, and plenty will regret it.

Not to mention you have states like South Dakota with the excellent Kristi Noem pitching into the fight this time.
