Columns of Light filmed over China

Has anyone else seen / read about mystery columns of light over china.

It has been in the New york post / Yahoo news uk, but cannot find much about it?

Only explanation I can find is below:

"According to the principal meteorologist named Xia Chuandong from Liaoning Meteorological Bureau, there are two main factors for this phenomenon. One is thick clouds with partial thin clouds and the second is a lot of water vapour. Xia said he has never seen the phenomenon before and there is no scientific name for it yet "

Now here's the real question, why does every person in China have an 'X' in their name? I mean, we get Professor Xavier and an obscure percussion instrument, and they get the Dictator of a billion people. Sneaky Chinese do it again!

Looks to me like that glass building is focusing the light strait up into the sky with low clouds making it look crazy. I tried to see the building on Google Maps, but that Chinese government doesnt have much for Google Street View anywhere around that stadium.

It looks like someone has used another recent sighting and added (photoshop etc) it to this, I say added it to this as far to many people are walking past uninterested, if this was in the sky why would anyone walk past it without at least glancing at it

It looks eerily similar to the UFO in this thread

Is this an Angel opening a scroll above Earth mentioned in Revelations or a Plasma Being

I've not a clue... projected light from ground search lights?...

but then why give the thick cloud / thin cloud & water vapour explanation.... that is so new it hadn't been named yet or seen....

Actually, the Sun is where I grabbed the photo from. They must have updated their story.

I wonder what caused that to occur, it does not appear to be a sprite from pictures I have seen of them.

Aww. Rats, spoiled the thread by posting the real whole picture. I would bet the people who took the pictures knew what they were taking a picture of but faking things is considered normal and preferred these days.

It is nice when someone finds what was really going on.

Now, who were the group posing for the photo, and what was their true intentions. Creating click bait, or some thing else...
