I'm willing to bet that 78% of people who oppose masks and vaccines are fat.

I’ll take that bet. How much money you got?

I'm retired at 41 years old, and I've posted pictures of myself on here. I'm 200 pounds of vaccinated muscle. What you got? Post a pic.

You might want to just pay up while you're ahead of yourself, considering you didn't bother to acknowledge someone else:

Hell 73% of the population over 20 is estimated to be overweight, so that isn't much of a bet

That's a hell of a lot of fatties on both sides of the equation. In other words, your bet is a wash.

Yeah lets stop forced vaccines but enforce something else instead
You can’t have it both ways

Lose weight, I live on pretty much a diet of green apples, chicken and bacon as well as water, 2 or 3 litres a day

But you can’t force people to be healthy, you can’t force vaccines, oh and minimise your alcohol and stop smoking

I came here to say this.

It’s beyond my understanding how some people think that the way to prevent government infringing on their freedoms is by directing the government to infringe on the freedoms of others.

We definitely deserve the governments we get. We are so screwed!!

I agree with your OP for the most part, but I think It's impossible to legislate a healthy lifestyle. It's totally up to the individual. We always seem to go to extremes. I don't think we should shame someone for being overweight, but we shouldn't tell them it's perfectly OK either. This commercial is a good example of how perverse we've become. Celebrate your fat! You're fine. It's the thin people who have the problem.

The commercial was airing quite a bit last year. This woman is at least 50 pounds overweight. Maybe 100 pounds?
The message here is that not only is fat OK, it's good. It's sexy, it's hot. So eat your ice cream!
I wonder if pieces of the ceiling are breaking off in the apartment below her.

Nope. I'll take his bet. He names the amount, I have the money. What was it, 4 people had heart attacks just being there at the January 6th thing? I either don't vote, or I vote libertarian. But... I have been to lib rallies, I have been to Trump rallies.

I'll raise the bar. 90% of people opposed to vaccines and masks are fat.

I’m not quite sure what that has to do with the bet you proposed.

And I saw your pic. I see why you want to wear a mask everywhere.

It means that I have all of the money I'll ever need. I can spare a lot for a bet that I'm going to win.

How much you wanna bet?

And if you've seen my pictures, repost them.

A bet that 78% of people that don’t wear masks and get vaccinated are obese. Yes.

Because you changed the goal posts and started using the phrase ‘over-weight’.

Two completely different definitions:

Obese: the condition of being grossly fat or overweight.

Overweight: above a weight considered normal or desirable.

So is the bet in relation to the OP of obesity? Or a bet based on your personal identification of the meaning of ‘overweight’?

Ooh be careful making a post like this. I made a facetious post about this topic and got so much hate.

I did? Where? Quote it. Also, post a picture of me and one of yourself. I guarantee one of us is obese.

Way to edit your post. It's ok. We are all just people on the internet. Nobody believes anything anyone says on the internet so unless you are going to post a picture of yourself here then I think it is ridiculous to claim someone is overweight and that you are somehow superior. I am a 27 year old, blonde haired, blue eyed, 5'10 128lb woman and I am anti-tyranny in all it's forms. My favorite historical figure is Thomas Jefferson. When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty. I am totally apolitical too. I just have conservative values and I love my country.

About the same percentage for diabetes , heart attack , strokes , common colds , and any other ailment one can name .
Why just tie it into COVID ?
Sounds like I am not the one that needs to face reality .

Oh, you have the very basic internet skills to see my selfies too? Let's see it. Post them. Show me how hideous I am.

Then post a picture of yourself. One of us is obese.

And absolutely not a braggart like some .
Just my humble old self .

im not a religious person by any means but the seven deadly sins are haunting people right now.

Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride

if that doesn't sum up the state of the world...

Funny how the OP snuck in the anti-welfare comment in there. There's a lot of people not on food stamps who drink soda.

But if 73% of all Americans are overweight and 78% of people dying with covid are overweight doesn't that make the increased risk 5%?
That's not much.
Especially since the excess death with/of Covid is like 200,000 and debatable....

And sure: do more sports, eat less highly processed foods... but you know that costs, right? Just cutting soda on food stamps won't get you anywhere. People would need training a coach, clothes for exercise and about 3×of what they spend now for fresh food.

Sooooo....

I’m 63, about 6 foot, and I weigh in at 220. I have put on 25 lbs since the lockdowns have begun. Closing people in make for a very unhealthy lifestyle. Just my 2 cents.
