We raise our grandson and have chosen to homeschool him and he is autistic so we considered sending him to school for some of the speech and occupational therapies until our district had the mask mandate

Is there no exemption clause for medical conditions in the US? By Univeral Law and Declaration of Human Rights therre's exemption for medical conditons and any Dr worth their salt would realise ASD + mask is highly likely to cause distress and patients with ASD conditions are exempt from any mask mandates.

Have no idea how the US system works but used to be a support worker specialising in ASD for 12 yr to PhD level in the UK so have a few legal guides to universal rights to place people with ASD on a level playing field.

A mandate for ASD people wearing masks should constitute and be challegend as illegal cruel inhumane treatment and torture as even for more higher functioning ASD people the change of routine would be like waterboarding used in guantanamo.

I don't know how the US system works and don't doubt your claims of the mandate but there should be a lot of laws and big payout in your/grandsons favour if places havent offered a 'reasonable adjustment and level playing field'. This is compounded by the stress caused by the major changes in routine due to unpresidented lockdown measures.

Have you watched Television lately? In every new show there has to be at least one gay or transgender, at least people of 3 different origins, etc... Not even talking about social media and TikTok. So yeah, kids pick up on those stuff at a very young age, they ask questions about it and get the full answers, next experiment with the thought of it and integrate it into their live and fantasies.

when I was a kid I wanted to be a boy, my brother was allowed to do so much more then me, had way cooler toys and he and his friends played much more fun games. So I always played with him and his friends and didn't want girls in that circle. I hated the thought that I would have breasts one day and said many times that I would cut them off!
That all changed when hormones kicked in.

Just saying, it's not because the 7 years olds hear something and repeat it that they will actually become it. 7 Is way to young to be able to make that kind of life choice. Wait till she is around 11-12 years old and she probably feels different.

I’m disappointed HER mom didn’t come back to confront you, would be curious what SHE would have to say.

Children don’t get to dictate to adults in the outside world, maybe at home but SHE is going to have a real hard time it seems.

Sadly, my nieces are turning out similar. One is going to therapy at age 8, my sister is convinced she’s suffering PTSD from having her divorced father taking her TOYS AWAY (I’m not joking) and the other tells everyone she is not a human and refuses to be addressed as such. When it’s time to get dressed “no human clothes!” When it’s time for food “no human food!” And this goes on and on for all things all day. It was fine when she was 2 or 3 and having play time, but now she’s in 2nd grade...

The adults just indulge all that type of behavior rather than address it. I was told “normal” is a forbidden word after i was allowed to visit them when lockdowns ended (although all the adults still used the word, just I wasn’t allowed to say it lol)

I doubt your brother was allowed to do so much more than you, you just saw it that way and took for granted the things that were afforded to you. There’s nothing wrong with idolizing your brother and wanting to be like him though as a kid.

What social issue or civil unrest do you see here? How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot? (I'm sure you'll tell me it is._

If it's not hurting you why does it bother you? And don't say it's hurting you, because it's not. Not if you have faith and confidence in your own gender assignment and your decisions on and skills in child rearing, which, of course, are better than any one else's, right?

So why so judgmental? Or offended? Or outraged? Or entitled? Threatened? Victimized? Bored? Superior? Attention-seeking? Or whatever is going on here actually is? Do you need group validation?

When you don't even know the whole story. This child may have asked a question, had a discussion with a caring parent who listened and explained, and then logic-ed it all out in that way kids have. Or overheard a conversation. Whatever did or did not happen, you don't really know.

There are many children who start thinking for themselves at this age.

My son was an alien named Tarrag at 6 and told everybody so. He also, at an even younger age, told everyone that his osteomyelitis surgical scar was where he got shot and that his mom was in prison in Dallas.

Sorry to sound judgmental myself. I'm not really judging. Just trying to figure things out.

And with that, I will follow my own advice and go back to living and letting live, and read posts about things that in no way affect me while trying to see all sides and figure out why they affect others so deeply.

It's simply an attack on the bible and humans and animals being created beings. I don't know for a fact, but I'll bet most modern academia "Supposes" we are all some sort of cosmic accident and evolution is understood and the bones prove it blah, blah, blah. None of which is even remotely true in any context or peer reviewed paper.......EVER!

What happens if I renounce my citizenship to the United States these days? Years previous, I would certainly be ostracized, and required to leave the country. But now.........I wonder if this would make my life easier? All the alien welfare I could need. Job opportunities out the ying yang, as long as I UN-identify as white male. This has got to be the answer to the burning "WTF happened to my country? And how the hell do I profit from it?
I've busted my ass for 50 years, so I want to retire........on the Fed dime.

This child is being MENTALLY ABUSED! There's a consequence, have no doubts. This child will grow up to be a very damaged adult, if they are lucky. What's the percentage of trans suicides these days, 46%?
