Has to do with seasonality of coronavirus. Coronavirus is always minimum in July and maximum in December. This is true year after year.


In the US, there was a peak last July, then it dipped, and rose to a higer peak in January, then it dipeed this July, but is once again risng.

I think an annual cycle is out of the question, and there are more factors at work, with more effect, than seasonality.
