A total of 79 cases of new Covid variant ‘Mu’ have been detected in France. The World Health Organization (WHO) identifies it as a ‘variant of interest’ over signs it could be more vaccine-resistant. There have been over 200 million cases worldwide (way more if reports that India is drastically underreporting their cases are to be believed) which means the virus has had billions of generations.
Virulent diseases evolve rapidly. That's why we have so many different strains of the flu.
