Some of the propaganda films/movies back then were absolutely the best. I grew up watching them and still go back and catch a film when I feel like it. the silent service films made me decide I did not want to be a submariner youtu.be...

Funny or exaggerated as it may be, actually these movies still have a great message.

I think they're fantastic.

The two Navy training films that stood out for me were the venereal disease one and the film about the fire on the USS Forrestal.
The part I remember the most about the VD film was 'Blueberry Pie'. That is what the instructor called it.... it was a really gross photo of an infected back end.
