Logically thinking about this, due to lockup most people have become sedintary, and rarely venture out side of their 4 walls.

Due to the lack of physical excercise as well as lack exposure to bacteria in the environment, which reduces a persons immunity to viruses put in the world, and to top this off many people have become too lazy to cook, and buy junk food from food delivery services.

So people have a bad high cholesterol diet, no physical movement, no exposure to germs, thus creating a perfect storm for cardio vascular issues.

One side effect is an inflamed heart, similar to fat build up. Wonder how relative this?

The vast majority of people that may suffer in such a way are already prone to that.
Everybody I know is actually in better shape.
So based on my observations I do not believe that is the case.
So far since the start of covid I have been to six states for personal reasons and not one time came across someone that is in worsening health than before.

But that is just my experience and is very limited considering the population.
Yet still a great talking point and I am very much interested to hear others experiences.

Seems our entire neighborhood is out running or walking daily now, since the March 13 lockdown and beyond.

We've made it a point since lockup to get outside, to get some fresh air, vitamin D from the sun, and our steps in for at least an hour a day.

Most of us it seems have made a new habit.

But you're right, not everyone has done this and it does contribute to damage to their health.

Sadly many people at my workplace are working from home, I still did a push bike to th office, I just need to do this for my fitness and mental health.

I don’t care if it’s raining, hot. I had a stack a week ago and bruised my ribs. I havent given up and am still siding.

Agree, with one massive exception...

Not to mention 24/7 doom/fear-porn causing extremely high stress levels - which is also very damaging to your immune system.

So people have a bad high cholesterol diet,

Ummm... no.

First, it has been proven -100% proven - that dietary cholesterol doesn't contribute in any way whatsoever to cholesterol levels in the blood. that has always been a myth propagated by the commercial food industry.

Second, high cholesterol is not bad for you. In fact, the Framingham study - one of the few real, actual, well designed and honest and longest term studies (still ongoing in fact) proves that the older you are and the higher your cholesterol levels the longer you live and stay healthy.

No, the only cholesterol related factor that is important as an indicator of risk of death from heart disease/heart attack is the ratio of Triglycerides to HDL (closer 1:1 is ideal, but less than 2 is ok).

My experience finds the opposite of what you claim.

I have doubt that each person is experiencing all the crap that is going on different.

Myself and other I know have actually been taking greater care to exercise over the past year. I work from home for now, but even in the office we sit in front of computers 8 hours a day. Working from home actually makes it easier to exercise, I just go out for a walk/run during my lunch hour in the neighborhood.

Few people are staying indoors and isolated (except some with major health/immune issues). Many of us have the vaccine and wear masks in public and go about our business as usual, so we're hardly hiding in fear in our homes.

I've never cooked a lot anyway, so I will admit to using Doordash more than I used to

Interesting discussion on cholesterol, never knew this.

Though it’s probably a whole new conspiracy in itself.

Most likely it is as you say stress from the media, financial strain, and mental heath that weakens people.

I do see many people put and about in the morning excercising, though a lot of my colleagues are honestly obese, at least dozen or more people who would be at least over 130 kilos, they do eat badly and struggle to get up the stairs.

I know each to their own, it’s their life.

I was the same weighed about 100 kilo, until my car blew a head gasket, and I only have about a 10k drive to work, thought stuff it, save myself 4 thousand sell the car and ride a bike, initially it was hard, though my fitness has improved.

It doesn’t matter if it rains, I still ride.

I have probably lost about 15 kilos in the past 6 months, feel better.

Most of all I have probably save about 2000 on car costs, as the rego and insurance were due in May.

Plus my mental health is getting better.

But the funniest thing of all is a couple of the negative Nancy types look at me with disdain, they all drive. I overheard one person saying to a Nancy, he must have no money, as he rides a bike.

Ahh so funny.

7,700 people die every day in the U.S.

Approx. 60% of those deaths are related to improper diet, or other long-term abuses of the body.

I really wonder how many covid related deaths do have an underlying cause.

I actually put the poor health of so many due to The Fat Lies and many other lies squarely at the top of the list.

Stress is a distant second.

Here is another fantastic video by the same Doctor, all about sugar and the virtually useless blood glucose tolerance tests for diagnosing diabetes/hyperinsulinemia. To clarify, this isn't just about table sugar - which is actually 50% fructose (very bad, cannot be utilized directly by the body and must be metabolized by the liver, causing fatty liver and other serious problems) - it is about all refined carbs that break down into sugar when eaten. This video is one of the 'musts' for anyone wanting to get truly healthy.
