From AP (NOT generally considered a Pro-Trump news source):

President Joe Biden is pointing to the agreement signed in Doha, Qatar, as he tries to deflect blame for the Taliban overrunning Afghanistan in a blitz. He says it bound him to withdraw U.S. troops, setting the stage for the chaos engulfing the country.

But Biden can go only so far in claiming the agreement boxed him in. It had an escape clause: The U.S. could have withdrawn from the accord if Afghan peace talks failed. They did, but Biden chose to stay in it, although he delayed the complete pullout from May to September.

So Biden DID NOT have to stick with any plan (contrary to what he says)...and, in fact, he had a natural 'out' and could have withdrawn from the accord and the Afghanistan withdrawal because the intra-Afghan peace talks failed to reach a settlement.

Trump consistently stated the withdrawal was "conditions-based" only...and those conditions were not yet met under Joe's administration.

U.S. officials made clear at the time that the agreement was conditions-based and the failure of intra-Afghan peace talks to reach a negotiated settlement would have nullified the requirement to withdraw.

One day before the Doha deal, a top aide to chief U.S. negotiator Zalmay Khalilzad said the agreement was not irreversible, and “there is no obligation for the United States to withdraw troops if the Afghan parties are unable to reach agreement or if the Taliban show bad faith” during negotiations.

Those negotiations were intended to begin within a month of the deal being signed but were delayed amid disputes between the Taliban and the Afghan government over prisoner releases. Amid fits and starts, the negotiations had not produced any outcome by the time Biden announced his withdrawal decision in April. Nor have they done so since.

apnews.com...

So Joe lied again...and it is a most shameful lie...as it's purpose is to shirk his own full responsibility for the major s#!tshow he personally created in Afghanistan.

To make matters worse...13 more brave American service members (along with over 170 Afghan citizens) were murdered the other day at Kabul airport.

It all boils down to Joe Biden and his Woketard administration wanting to bring out the troops...without ANY obligation to do so...and with ZERO thought about the consequences of his insane, hasty and ass-backwards pullout.

This is ALL on Joe...and all on Joe's 81 zillion voting 'woke' tard pukes.

OWN IT JOE!
OWN IT WOKETARDS!

Biden made the US the bad guy.

We violated the agreement.
We extended the duration.

On top of that there clearly was no plan to get assets out before the final withdraw.

Top down failure

Joe doesn't lie, he is a parrot saying what the writers of his speeches write. He goes off once in a while and tries to think on his own...and you have seen how that goes. Parrots do not lie, they can't comprehend what they are saying is not real. Biden is saying what he believes in his mind to be true, he just can't comprehend that he is now president and is still blaming his failures on Trump.

How in the hell did we let someone with dementia get into the presidency, were doctors bribed that easily?

Trump said what he believed too, and it was not always fully true. But at least he could manage this countries future better than Biden is doing.

Like I said in another thread. . .

"It was Trump's deal, I couldn't change it."

I wish Biden had said that on the southern border, Keystone pipeline, the Russian pipeline, sanctions in Iran . . . . .

The guy is a total set of clown shows.
Of course he lied.
To him, it’s probably not lying though. He pro is so clueless as to what’s going on around him.

I’m so glad to see democraps waking up and realizing they wasted a perfectly good, rigged election on this moron.

Trump built the drone that killed the ISIS-K attack planner tonight.

Let's blame Trump for everything, shall we?

With this disaster along with the Southern Border we can no longer have Biden as President . He and his administration need to be removed from office yesterday . This has to be planned , I don't think it is possible to be that stupid .

Joe Biden 8.26.2021 Q&A - Answering Peter Ducey of Fox News.

Is Joe Biden (without realizing it), praising President Trump's deal with the Taliban? A deal that yielded only 2 deaths of U.S. Service Members in Afghanistan, in all of 2020.

So you support sending the troops that were withdrawn plus more back to Afghanistan because that's what would have needed to happen as the Taliban offensive would still have happened.

The mistake was made and Biden followed it through , the original mistake plus Biden's follow through were both done for political reasons without thought for what would happen after.

I agree Biden should have scrapped the failed deal.

Blaming Trump is so weak.

But… That explains why Biden did it.

Biden's political career is one lie after another as he is always on the wrong side of everything and then has to back track...... and I am not to sure about his birth certificate as maybe the same people who printed Obama's made his too!!! hahahah

The smartest thing his handlers did was make Harris his VP which insured his survival in office. Where they screwed up was not realizing just how far his mental abilities had decayed nor how hard it would be to keep him on script.

Expect anything less ?

Surprised Facebook hasn't labeled it 'misinformation' yet.

I support removing citizens and those getting visas before handing control to the Taliban.

Been reading that several people were talking a group of 2500-3500 troops plus air assets that were never going to leave the area anyway would have allowed the afgan govt to hang on and possibly strengthen.

Worst case it would have bought the time needed to safely remove those that were marked for death by the taliban and all american civilians, biden yanked it all without getting the innocent out.

Considering all the troops we have in other strategic locations around the globe this would have been one of the smaller contingents.

I wonder how Jill’s foot is healing. Haven’t seen her boasting about lately. Same with the 4 star general. Who else is avoiding the lime light.

OK, raise your hand if you think that the President actually makes these plans himself?

Now raise your hand if you think that multiple agencies, both military and intelligence, give him a general outline of what they think is best, and he rejects or rubber stamps it, and allows the experts to get on with the actual details?

When they killed Bin Laden the president was basically told that Bin Laden was in location X and that troops could be there in Y amount of Time, and that there were Z risks involved. And he was asked if he wanted to green light it the mission.

He didn't tell them where to enter the compound, what weapons to use, or even which routes to use to get to or from the compound.

Being the commander in chief is about seeing the big picture, not micromanaging things.

If anything this mess is because the military and intelligence communities didn't foresee how quickly the Taliban would gain territory, and so they didn't tell Biden that the plan needed to change. He's only as competent as his advisers.

Or, in case you didn't get this: Most presidents are civilians who depend on the military to make the actual plans.

And what would you have said if Biden had scrapped Trump's plan and decided to stay on and reinforce the military presence. You'd probably have called him a warmonger.

If Biden is not bound by the constitution,

If he was not bound by Trump's Executive Orders,

If he changed the date from May to September,

. . . you know he was not bound by didily squat

If he just surged yea... if he said we are adding forces to make certain we can evacuate our allies and American citizens, and as soon as they are all safe we will begin the draw down during the winter (IE not fighting season), I at least would have said thats fair.
