Recent ATS statements - Hypothetical Question??

Recently I've seen a number of comments here on ATS opining about the lack of care the president and vice president seem to have for the American people. Themes like...'It's not that they don't understand what's going on, they just truly don't care what's going on, and what people think!' OR...'There's something much bigger going on that no one knows about; it's the only explanation!' In some respects I get the same sense also.

I did some pondering on this thought, thinking about what would cause someone to get into this mentality? I kept arriving back at the same underpinning question, and it is this:

What if you were elected president, and on your first day after being sworn in someone walked into the Oval Office and told you that a giant meteor was speeding towards Earth and there was nothing anyone could do about it, and Earth only had so many years left to live? What would you do?

Well, I think we can be pretty confident a giant meteor isn't headed towards Earth, but what if it was something else?

What if someone walked into the Oval Office and told you that a bioweapon 1000x more powerful than AIDS, Ebola, the Plague and the Spanish Flu, combined, had been released on the population. And you were told that a stopgap 'vaccine' had been created, but this 'vaccine' would only be temporary and that the likelihood of ever finding an true antidote, before all humanity was affected, was zero.

What would you do then?

Does this possibly explain the madness we are currently seeing?

Something is going on, this much is certain, because no amount of crazy can explain even half of this madness! The entire World is spiraling down into some black hole from which there is no escape.

What do they know that we don't?

A very interesting hypothetical.
I wish I knew what was going on.
But I think there is a lot more going on here than meets the eye.

No. YOUR world seems to be spiraling out of control.

My world is fine. Sun is shining. Work is good. Home life is good. Health is good. Right now I couldn't be happier.

Some of us are living our lives OUTSIDE the political bubbles, and that is a GOOD LIFE. Try it sometime, you guys would be much happier.

And as someone who's been around a while, not much has changed over half a century, just different sht hitting the fan.

That Covid isn’t that bad, but power is absolutely delicious!
That there is money to be made that will pay for their grandchildren’s grandchildren.
That China will probably take over the world

Stop working my normal job, stop paying debts, stop paying taxes, stop worrying about social niceties and cultural norms... In other words, everyone would cease doing what is done daily to keep the machine clumsily running along and that machine, the entire "system," would melt down. The control DC, your state capitol, and even your mayor's office has over you and your life is purely because you'd lose some of the niceties of civilized modern life if you chose to spit in their eye and walk away. If those niceties left, those in power would lose their control.

That might be what you would do in your current life, but you wouldn't do those things as president. And the reason you wouldn't do those things is because exactly what you state would happen...there would be a complete meltdown. Instead, to prevent that very thing, as president, you might choose not to tell everyone because what would be the point? Almost certain chaos and anarchy would erupt. Maybe you'd just go do stuff that felt good to you. Maybe all those years of people sniping at you would cause you to go teach them all a lesson, give 'em a dose of their own medicine, so to speak.

Exact your pound of flesh before the 'big one' because after all...what difference, at this point, does it really make anyway?

I absolutely agree, I think a portion of the country has fallen into some mental crisis that is an obsession with politics and MSM.

The whole philosophy to not trust anything is paranoia. It's the opposite of bravery.

Fear propaganda has been in the news for many decades.

Imagine if Trump wasn't loud and vulgar, but instead was more like creepy Joe but still telling everyone not to believe anything. Imagine if fake news was whispered and mumbled instead of shouted and tweeted in all caps 10x a day.

Trump empowered paranoia into a lot of people in a very incognito way by making paranoia into some Alpha Male trait, and today's conspiracies are all a product of that.

Totally get you and that's what I was suggesting. If the US government ever did have knowledge of an incoming "Holy #!" they'd never tell the American people and would, in fact, candy coat the situation as much as possible despite knowing a game over moment was approaching.

life is complex enough with actual, certain questions.

I think many people fixate on hypothetical questions
when they can not fathom actual questions or
when they find the answers and can't cope with the solution.

As far as your giant meteor, it is nothing to worry about.

A) we do not have the technology to do anything about it
B) if it was big enough it would turn earth into a barren Martian landscape
c) the only thing you can do to prepare is store up some luck.

That's what I think is going on. They are covering up it is man made and could be much worse than they've let on to. This is the only way I can logically explain some of the crazy reasons we've seen.

I think these comments are being made because it is true.
Look at the history of Biden and Harris and everyone working for them and around them.
I believe everything happening is happening according to their plan. Break America and build it back up under their own marxist regime.

Cool theory, but these are not normal people we are talking about, they are power hungry, rabid animals who wont take no for an answer and grow more hungry for power each passing day.


But what would i do? I would check if i am given accurate information and make sure i am not being manipulated,,, Nah i feel silly for even writing that, if i were sitting in the oval office of course i would manipulate and be manipulated not to mention all the other horrible things people do to get in those positions.

By breaking America you also break one of the biggest financial engines in the world. Hundreds of millions go from being revenue generators to being penniless consumers. Where will they get the money? How will they defend against the Chinese taking over everything?

How long do you think farmers are going to farm when their land is taken from them, and all the sales of their crops go to the government?

This has always been at the back of my mind too.

What I would do as president would be to weigh the pros and cons of all the choices we have.

Do we let people know?
The consequences of doing this would undoubtedly be nuts, but how much more nuts can we get?

Might it reign in some of the madness but unleash a whole new hell of greed and corruption?

Would people believe it?

Would it unite people into working together to find a way to avert this?

Would we have a way to feed and protect and care for people if everyone stopped working?

Do we not let people know?
Would this rob them of the time they might spend with loved ones and prepare for the end?

Is it fair to let people get caught up in things that no longer matter?

These questions and the possible outcomes go on and on, each one breeding more questions.

When you think about it, in the situation you've outlined, no one's really getting out alive on their own, are they?

Yeah, this definitely wouldn't be an easy decision.

You know what happens to drones in a beehive, when winter hits? They already have more than enough resources. Money means nothing it is drone currency.
