The title is also the question:
Is Netflix being used by ??? as an 'info bleeding tool' for the general population?

The idea came to me after watching one of their new docu series, where a researcher mentioned that when governments have been lying about certain topics for decades, the only way to come clean is by slowly and deliberately bleed information to the public, to immunize them against the full impact of the truth.

Then I started thinking about how Netflix tends to release documentaries only weeks before the topic enters mainstream media.
The best example is the Pandemic series that came out in 2019, or Human the world within (about genetic manipulation) right before the vaccines. There is another one about the search for a universal vaccine called Unnatural selection (end 2019). Another recent one is 'How to become a tyrant', 2021, about dictators from the present and past and their impact on the world. And then there is the 2019 miniserie "inside Bill's brain, decoding Bill Gates". This one will make just about anyone sympathize with Gates! The trailer ends with the words: ultimately it is not about what you get, but about what you become.

This is all speculation and I have no proof for any of it, also why I put this in skunk works.

As someone with an passion for ATS topics, I cannot discuss these topics with my friends or family members. They've been rolling their eyes at me for years when I even mention something that has to do with ufo's, NWO, or any other conspiracy.
But I have noticed for a long time that once something is mentioned in the news they will almost 'automatically' believe it and accept it as truth without further investigating it for themselves. A lot of people do that.

The same thing happens when they see a documentary on Netflix. They just accept it without looking further. They don't even think twice about who the so called 'researchers' are that are saying things. They don't even know that some of the info in these docu's has been available on youtube and internet forums for years because they never looked for it.
I'm specifically talking about documentaries, not movies or series.

The new Netflix docu that triggered this question is "The secret ufo projects declassified"
It has zero new information for people who've been following the topic,
but for the common people who never had interest in ufo's, who didn't believe it, those who denied and didn't want to hear about it, for them it's all new info and it amazes me how they (or a lot of them) blindly accept what is being said and showed in the docu. Even when some of it has been debunked years ago, which they of course would not know.

Note: I witnessed my own partner react to the first 3 episodes, it went something like : " woooow.... yeah.... that is just... wow, I didn't know that... well, if you think about it, of course there had to be something going on...they've been hiding things!...
LOL, I was personally amused about how he just sucked up the info like a child and didn't even question it.

so, back to the question:
Is Netflix being used to bleed information to the general public and also, is Netflix a propaganda tool?

The owner of Netflix is Marc Bernays Randolph. His great-uncle is Edward Bernays who was in turn a nephew of Sigmund Freud, this man, the father of propaganda :

And that to me is not coincidental that such a man is head of one of the biggest media distributors.

EDIT: And i have to thank you for making this thread and the well written OP as i have found myself in the same position as you for a long time. And i never gave and never will give up trying to make people aware of these things neither.

Cant say about Netflix as I have no evidence either way.

However it's well known that letter agencies have had a hand in what goes into tv and movies for decades, so anything's possible.

Silly thread, Netflix is basically an entertainment platform for showing movies and TV shows made by different people, if there is any type of propaganda at play in this process, then criticism of such should be directed at those who created the aforementioned movies and TV shows and not the platform, which airs based on how popular they think it'll be, and of course how much money they can make

I can only assume that you believe the same thing about Facebook? Google? "just an entertainment platform"?

As soon as a corp becomes a 'Big Corp' it will be used for agenda's other then 'pure entertainment'

well if they would just stick to movies things would be simpler. They are SJW for all the wrong things. Is it because they believe in the 2030 agenda or because they are compromised. It is one of the other because there is no in between they are guilty of propaganda with their attempts to brain wash people with those so called "documentaries".

Ever since the Obama's signed on with Netflix, I ended my subscription. I no longer watch any movies or tv at all. I'm a Hater, I know!

Can you explain more about the Obama's connection to Netflix?
It's the first I hear of this

Maybe not a hater. Maybe repulsed away from pure evil. It is normal to distance ourselves from pure crap. The movies are SJW a lot these days. I have to decide if I want to be hammered by total BS when I watch a movie or go watch real drama, sports. I can see sports will save us from insanity now that the SJW stuff has cost major income they realize they are killing their sports.

Baseball never had that issue that I know. The players and owners can teach Basketball and USA Soccer women players a lesson about how to act in their community. Inclusive of everyone based on talent and no one dares ruin the sport with politics. They play hard and are good people. I can't say they are good people in the NBA when they slam people here and support the CCP demands.

I never see sports or reality shows pop up on my Netflix, but I guess that is because of the algorithm they use.

What is weird about it is that certain documentaries are shown to users who have absolutely nothing in their watch-history that would make an algorithm suggest it to them.

Excellent thread. The mechanism you describe in your OP is exactly the same MO politics used. Giving just enough information so people begin to think, call out. It's being disputed by politics and three to six months later they turn around, all of them, and actually do what the "nutjobs" said.

Here's a little list, I don't expect it's something you didn't notice but maybe others need that wakeup call

It’s always been the same, release bad news, deny the news immediately and then after a short time, enact the bad news
Acclimatising people to bad news, it’s not a theory

Totally different, FB and Google are nothing like Netflix and have totally different responsibilities. It's understandable why you think Corporatism is the way of the world, it's getting more difficult to tell these days, but it's still the news agencies and their politically pushed agendas that sway the public opinion.

While some Hollywood productions may be guilty of pushing an agenda over the years, it must surely rest on how stupid the viewer is

The owner of Netflix is Marc Bernays Randolph.

The 'owner' of Netflix is primarily mutual funds like Vanguard, Blackrock and Capital, it is 82% institutionally owned.

Your theory seems entirely plausible to me, even probable.

I do watch Netflix from time to time. Some of it is good entertainment, some of it is quite superficial.

"The Making of a Killer" was the first thing I watched there, and found it very informative.

The connection with Bernays is likely.

It’s not a silly thread at all, in fact I completely side with the OP in this theory. I’ve noticed the same all too similar coincidences in the titles they are promoting. I unsubscribed a couple years ago because of my suspicions, lack of interest in what they had available, and also lack of time to watch crap movies and junk documentaries they offered.

This is the first classic ATS post I've seen on this website in a while

Hollywood = the holly tree, the very wood that magicians / wizards would use for their wands or staffs.

Alphabet agencies have a massive hand in many movies, especially involving human history.
Since the invention of the camera, governments have been formulating ways to program entire populations, and they've been unbelievably successful.

I strongly suggest you look up Century of The Self (Pretty sure all 4 parts are free on Youtube right now) -- Especially Part 2, Happiness Machines... It goes all into Edward Bernays (who user everyone mentioned above me) -- you'll love it.

Imagine in 200 years (Or 2,000 years!) when they happen across all of our modern films - they might to discern fictional sories from historic --- but all historic films are so painfully skewed in the very same way our history books have been.
Just like today, these people from the future will have no way to see through the propaganda.

We're a highly suggestible and stubborn species, and technology is evolving far above our primitive 6 senses, our hubris only compounds our vulnerability to being hypnotized before we ever had a chance.
The next 10 years, with augmented reality, etc. is going to be absolutely insane. A new frontier for psychologists, but most importantly billion-dollar think-tanks hellbent on exploiting the human species' consciousness for ultimate domination.

It's a brave new world, kind of fun we get to be alive to witness it, hopelessness aside.
