I think Biden has at least as much clue as Trump did.

There was no easy way out. It had to happen and it was bound to be a disaster.

Trump should consider himself lucky he was voted out of office in this case.

Biden has no clue about anything. He is a complete bumbling fool.

Sure....the easy way out would have been to leave....if they can get 5K troops IN within 24 hours....they can get 5k people OUT in the same time frame.

Why are we fighting other people's wars? Does Afghanistan give us anything in return? Have they in the last 20 years?

Worthless people...absolutely worthless....

It's hard to put a couple trillion a year into black ops if you don't have Afghanistan's poppy fields.

We've been there since the 60's making sure the flow keeps going...

But now we have Fentanyl... a synthetic drug.

Which China makes a lot of.

So we don't need opium anymore.

Get as many "innocents" out and rebuild.

This isn't rocket science...it is war.

You don't seem to understand... the people currently running this country do not now and never have given two phucks about human lives.

A friend of mine shared me a link to the live feeds over there... currently a lot of beheadings going on, public rapes and stonings of women, children getting their throats cut.

Or in one case, a young boy just beaten to death.

I couldn't watch it for very long.

I wouldn't recommend it.

The current administration could have made that not happen.

But they did.

Because they really don't care.

At all.

As far as I know, they actually get a kick out of it.

And here we are... with them in charge.

Like I have said before....get those out that are worth saving....

Glass the rest. This isn't rocket science. If the majority there want this because of their radical religion....eradicate them. You can't re-educate that many millions.

Sure there may be plenty that are all about having multiple wives but don't want to seem radical. None will ever fit in to any western society except maybe Utah.

Get rid of it all...be done quickly. Send a message. Just leave or do something so drastic it will stop the crazy.

Summary of America's stature, on this historic Sunday August 15, 2021.

This isn’t just the Fall of Kabul.

The entire leadership of the US govt disappeared today.

A thousand narratives collapsed in realtime.

DC theater gave way to reality.

A generation of people around the world watched as the US govt was humiliated.

So I assume since the Right is so concerned about Afghanistan and it's people, then they will welcome ALL refuges from there with open arms.

Yes or no?

Well, if your source is Twitter, it must be True.

I guess America should hang up the towel now that we've been totally humiliated in the eyes of the world.

Yeah.

Finger pointing is big in Congress.

I suppose the previous administration would have done a much better job of withdrawal if they were still around though. No doubt. Like bailing on the Kurds in Syria.

Maybe, but the previous admin wasn't in charge for this. To Blame Trump, you may as well throw Obama in there as well. Joey owns this one. It's time to man up and stop being weak, admit when you make a mistake.

we don't have a choice. If they come through the southern border, everyone is welcome, Joey has open arms.

Nope. Why would you assume that?

Suddenly, after 20 years of war someone decides this isn't for them? I don't feel sorry or bad for you....you brought it on yourself. Sad as it may be....

Why is this only a yes or no question?

You obviously asked in effort to shame your political enemy for your own incorrect beliefs about them.

And to distract from the only correct answer:

To fix this mess quickly before it's too late.

Or are you just blindly defending joe again?

Yes, we've always seen right through it.

Withdrawing troops was not the issue. The issue is we left afghani troops in charge, relying on US support systems to operate. Biden yanked those systems, and it only took a week for the afghan military to fall.

The plan was contingent on a continuation of things like air and satellite support. Once Biden yanked that, they were fighting in the dark.

Biden is the CnC. No doubt. And the buck does indeed stop there.

Please excuse my musing.

Exactly and HE is the one creating this mess.

If you're a hyper partisan resorting to wataboutism, you're WRONG.

This is an absolute Democrat FAILURE the likes of which will go down in History.

It's true, Failure, after Failure, after Failure, the Border, Inflation, Wokeism and absolute collapse of Afghanistan is a testament to Democrat leadership. Is it ever a wonder why Trump beat Eight years of Democrat control? Because people were pissed at how Democrats operate.

Now, through fraud, an illegitament man is in the WH and has literally ruined this Countries image and faith in its institutions.
Infact, No One from this Administration hasn't even appaeared, instead, choosing to, ONCE AGAIN, Blame Trump.

For gods sake, take responsibility, this is a Democrat Administration and y'all FAILED, not even a YEAR IN! FAILURES!!

We don't rely off the Petrol dollar anymore folks and our status as the Worlds Reserve Currency will last only as long as other Nations have faith in our institutions, once that falls, our demise will be complete.

I think it's fair to blame Trump and Obama along with Biden. And we can't forget the architect of this whole war either, Bush.

They all perpetuated this war and kept digging us a deeper hole until it was inside to extricate ourselves without tragedy occurring.

They all have blood on their hands and they all deserve the blame.

ROFL

The USA surrendered when they negotiated a withdrawal with the Taliban last year.

It was only a matter of time when Kabul would fall.

Torrington is a pretty rural, wide-open area in the North of CT.

How many refugees YOU taking in up there?

NIMBY right.

If you want to blame for the war to begin with, blame Bush and the rest of the western and nonwestern world, as it was a broad coalition that went in to root out terror training camps.

Trump was nuts for drawing down our presence there. It was a 40 year war to begin with....we had to have 2 full generations of people to prop up a semblance of freedom. We knew this going in, it was told to us time and time again going in. Trump just wanted to fulfill a campaign promise, and he may have been able to succeed with his plan as it only shifted the surface duties back to the Afghans. The core duties were still all us.

Biden yanked those core duties. Things like air support. Satellite support. Intelligence, infrastructure...all the support elements that make a modern military function. Without that support structure, you see how poorly "modern military" performs. The Afghans were trained for western style warfare, and were abandoned to fend off the Huns who use guerilla tactics. There was no hope from the very beginning. And that is all Biden. 100%.

You should also know that any thinking person in the UK absolutely did NOT support this war at any time, even after 7/7.

We knew why the cameras weren't working, and why the terrorists conveniently slipped through the net of MI6.

This whole narrative has collapsed on its head. This has been precisely what Eisenhower warned us about, the potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power in the military industrial complex.

We are governed by Satanic weirdos who's only calling in life is to get rich and hurt people, and get a kick out of it, seeing as their seered consciences wont allow them pleasure from normal activities. What a world.

The Afghan government was a smokescreen, the Taliban have always owned Afghanistan and the people support their 'jihad'.....

no one is going to resign.

if they are embarrassed (which is highly unlikely)
they will double down.

it is more likely to be a victory lap

it is their nature
