Emergency Services respond to a 'Significant and Serious Incident in Plymouth UK

Neighbours claim his family had pleaded with the NHS for help with Davison's mental health issues, though it is unclear if he had been diagnosed with any conditions.

One woman said her boyfriend went to school with Davison and described him as "pretty shy and quiet", and that he would "talk about how cool Americans are and the idea of having a gun collection".

"My boyfriend said he was autistic and has anger issues and it's a shame for those involved," she added.

Other commenters mentioned a recent family battle with cancer.

And I saw one vid that said he shot his own family members....and then moved into a park and opened fire on strangers.

He's killed weans and other innocents related or otherwise.

You can only imagine whatever sick twisted perceived slights he must have harboured against them that prompted him to commit such atrocities.

Our NHS Mental Health services are indeed underfunded, understaffed, and not exactly up to the job in this day of age, but it still only takes 3 signatures to get you committed(placed under observation), 2 doctors and your next of kin i think.

The mind boggles really.

Thing there is Itisnowagain, everyone is a product of society.

Plenty of people who society would consider to be psychopaths walking around in life that manage to function and interact with the people, places and situations that arise in there life without resorting to killing innocent people because they think they are fat or ugly and canny get there end away.

To be sane in an insane world is simply counterproductive but that cannot justify this kind of level of nefarious depravity.

I saw this thread last night and I deliberately avoided it knowing that some would use this tragedy as an excuse to push their usual nonsense.

Mental Health Care in this country is in an awful state, for various reasons.
Lockdown hasn't helped things.
Neither has the fostering of the 'what about me' generation society has bred.

Things like this are such a rarity in the UK which is why they hit home so hard.

Seems like he may have had links with some of the victims but others may just have been random strangers in the wrong place at the wrong time.
How anyone could shoot and kill a three year old child truly beggars belief.

I can't imagine what the families of the victims are going through.

His first victim was his mother. Then a three year old girl and her father.

I read somewhere that he didn't live with his mother who he clearly hated but can't find it.

Obviously some sort of mental illness, He thought Americans were cool. He made videos talking about being an Incel.

People snap.
Society puts each and every one of us under enormous pressure.
We all handle it in different ways, some better than others.

But to go out and shoot your own mother and a three year old child.
There is no excuse at all.

Then random strangers?

I sort of get people reaching breaking point and directing their resentfulness and hatefulness etc at specific targets/people - not excusing it in any way shape or form just understanding it.
But I simply can't get my head around shooting an innocent three year old child.

I know its not time to be pointing fingers etc but I just can't help wondering how such a screwball got a Firearms Licence - I know quite a few people who have them and they've had to jump through hoops to get them.
