The "rapture" wasn't even a thing in Christian theology into maybe the 1800s. The elect have never been removed from tribulation, but have received grace to endure. Getting magically spirited away is a lazy pipe dream.

Clarification, it was not called the English word "Rapture" until then. It originated with the Greek word harpazo or ἁρπάζω, then was latanized as "Rapio". The original word meant to "snatch up". Shall we instead use a better English transliteration and call it "The Snatching"?

How will the government (of which I assume will still be fully functioning after the rapture) explain a few missing and/or dead people?

I, like my father before me, believe that the disappearance of all those multitudes of people, (Christians), and not just a few - but millions - will be explained away as an alien abductions. My church, a Southern Baptist church, seems to think we are living close to or at the end times. And wouldn't you know it, the U.S. governement is finally acknowledging UFOs. Pretty convenient, if you ask me.

I don't know what you mean. It talks about the Rapture in the Holy Bible. I'm pretty sure it was written well before the 1800s. Yes, Christians will suffer some tribulations, but not the Tribulation.

That fits inline with my beliefs of UFO's (not actual life in the universe) may be fallen angels trying to recreate the nephilim, being a reason for all the reproductive themes to the UFO tales. But that aside, imagine if the "aliens" land and claim it? What further evidence would the world look for? Maybe it's a "we took the intolerant Christians so we could give you world peace" kind of thing.

The fallen angels are the Nephilim. The Bible talks about them in the Old Testament and even sources outside the Bible mention them. Check out the Sumerian "Epic of Gilgamesh." It talks about these "gods" from the skies and how they came to earth and tried to create the perfect mining creatures to mine for gold, which their ships used. We all know that modern computer circuits have gold in them. So, I'm pretty sure UFOs have computers that are like that as well.

Edit to add:
And I've developed a theory that Neanderthals are the creatures that the Nephilim created to mine their gold. If you'll study, you'll find that Neanderthal fossils have been found in five different places on earth. Four of the places were ancient sites where gold was proven to be found and mined and the fifth could have been as well, but got played out.

Edit to add:
The reason I think this about Neanderthals is because of the ridge above their eyes. It sticks out about as far as a mining helmet and protects the eyes from falling dust.

I've read it. I agree. BTW, does your interpretation of Gilgamesh lead you to think of in-vitro cloning? If I'm not mistaken, the gold was for their atmosphere. Carbon tax credits anyone? .

I'm not sure about the Epic of Gilgamesh, but I know the Bible refers to cloning. That's why God asked the archangel Michael to hide the body of Moses, so Satan couldn't get it. If Satan could have gotten the DNA of Moses, who knows what he would have done with it?

If the adamu (humans) are shorter and conservative, and the nephilim are giant and intelligent and more liberal and violent. Why so we see ourselves as a taller form of human and the ultra-consertive but less intelligent neanderthal as the shorter ones? What are we adamu or nephilim? This had bothered me in the past.

I've never heard the term "adamu," so I can't say anything about it. And I don't think the Nephilim are "giants," as in gigantic sized. I think they were just thought of as giants as far as being perceived as being "giants" or greater because they were "gods from the sky." The depth of their knowledge was thought to be "giant."

Adamu was an early term for mankind. I believe the nephilim are the Greek/Roman/Egyptian/Norse gods. I believe these were litterally real and powerful, flesh and blood as well as supernatural beings. Similar to how we know Christ to be but not really comparable for a number of obvious reasons. These were the kings of old and the gods of many religions.

And many Christians believe the rapture is nonsense, dreams from a child’s mind
What if it’s not true, will your faith fail?

Does it matter? Faith means that you believe He will do as must be done, and whatever it is, it's the right thing.

It could be as simple as this: everyone will see, everyone will know, but only those who know Him, love Him and are not unprepared will let go to Him.

Who cares what will be left behind?

Someone who gets it! 👍

Thanks for the link, but aside from that, I'm feeling like this is what the rapture/quickening will be.
Real humans Awakening.

I'm not especially into kundalini or mystics, but I do know that connecting to energy of "any" kind keeps you connected to all of it. Disconnecting and simply watching and waiting makes you the Observer rather than the Player. End Game.

What happens here?

Re 20:11 ¶ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Let me describe it the best I can.

Suddenly a Throne appears in Heaven, the Earth and the Heaven within seconds are gone, the men, whether alive or dead, experience a sudden falling like feeling, like falling from a great height, stomachs churning and heads spinning then suddenly all within seconds everyone is round about this throne, as quick as they stop spinning they become filled with fear, the fear likened to having a bolt of Lightening strike right next to them, and within a millisecond all are on their knees heads looking down unable to stand in the presence of THE ALMIGHTY GOD.

The only other thing men see as they kneel, is the lake of fire. Then at that same time death and hell are cast into it. Then either all at once or one by one, every man not saved by faith on Jesus (the lambs book of life) Before the Millennial Kingdom or has their name in the book of Life, are judged by the books of their works and cast into the lake of fire for by no work shall any man be saved.

Rapture is not found in scriptures but the gathering of the saints both dead (resurrection) and alive (Catching up/gathering) is. It is that gathering that many call the rapture.

So God's word is true and your words are false.

Remember the Gathering of the saints and the Great white throne judgement rapture and resurrection are two different events that take place a little over 1,000 years apart from one another. The Saints by the grace of God had their judgement covered on the cross through faith alone. The rest have to be judged by works, and if those works were done in and by faith, they will have their names in the book of life.
