SPOILERS AHEAD READ IF YOU WANT TO

Just watched this with my 15yr old. It's a complete recycle of the Pirates of the Caribbean script. Cursed sailors trying to break the curse and be free, spunky girl proving women can do anything a man can and on to the end. Lame.

Also, they stole the "shut off the waterfalls" thing from Black Panther.

Lame lame lame.

Yeah, not to mention it was produced by a corporation based on one of their amusement rides for children over 65 years ago. Cashing in again and again and again. Should we even hope for something more from them other than schlock?

Just watched this a couple of days ago, i got cool nostalgic 90s adventure movies vibes, so i enjoyed the movie, but i had some beer and snacks too, so that might have something to do with it.

Yeah generation Indiana Jones, Back to the Future and Goonies here...

My parents thought those movies sucked and were completely unrealistic.

Yet they gave me that "adventure is out there" vibe as a 12 year old.

Maybe this is the now-12 year-old's classic, not going to judge because I am old.

Dwayne Johnson is always pretty okay in kids movies.

Maybe not over-analyze?

So will there be a suspenseful action adventure movie about It's A Small World After All? Space Mountain the Movie might be an alien thriller.

Oh my God...a corporation making money!!

You know, getting older also means you get more cynical.

1989, As a 12 year old European I was pretty fortunate to have the luxury to visit Disney World Florida. Star Tours had just opened and I must have gotten on to that attraction about 50 times in three days. The animatronics, the flight simulator, the feeling of being inside an imaginary world...best time ever!!!

I don't remember caring about Disney cashing in on my gullibility, a corporation manipulating me to spend money with smoke and mirrors. Nothing like that...

In the eyes of this 12 year old it was the best money ever spend.

LOL, thinking that an amusement ride-themed film would be anything other than a steaming pile of crap. I wouldn't have seen it even if Emily Blount was naked the entire time.

No such thing as spoilers anymore, as you've stated if you've seen one then you've seen them all.

I never knew how repetitive Follywood was until one afternoon I watched two western tv shows back to back and both episodes were almost identical: people stuck in a house with angry Natives outside, one idiot panics tries to run, gets arrowed to death.

It's obvious Follywood has narratives it pushes, the constant repetition of themes, characters, plots, and storylines is proof enough. There's nothing new under the smog covered sun in Follywood.

I wish I could give you 80 million stars, that was freaking funny amd unexpected.

That's the # people want to see. Send Follywood an email, show them how it's done.

Another over the top expensive production from Disney where one just can't help but wonder:

Where did all the money go? These special effects, actors or other production costs could not have added up to 200 million (its budget), could they?

Especially when one compares the amount and quality of the more expensive scenes in movies with less than a 100M budget, that still manage to get high profile actors.

Like Monster Hunter for example, 60M budget, looked as good as any high budget Jurassic Park, Monsterverse, Pirates of the Caribbean or Marvel movie (which if you don't count the early Jurassic Park movies, are all above 100M budget I think). And the story is certainly a lot more interesting than those run of the mill action flicks like the Fast and the Furious, some of which have a budget as high as 250M!!! (like Fast & Furious 8, a.k.a. The Fate of the Furious)
