And, I suspect that will be my PCP's reaction too. He is always very pro-vax for everything, so I'd be really surprised if he changed up now, but again I haven't had the conversation with him yet.

Hey, I'm so sorry it is coming down to this for you!

So - My whole family - husband (60), myself (57), our 23 yr old daughter, and my parents (mom 76, dad 79), all had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine..

We all had slightly sore arms, my daughter ran a low grade fever for a day, and I had a couple days all-over achy/icky'ness'..
Something I want to add (and will probably get slammed/debunked) -

I have done a lot of research since the beginning of Covid, and have a theory that people who 'do' best with the vaccines are those who -
- either supplement with Quercetin & Zinc - or eat a lot of foods which naturally contain those...

My reasoning is: Research shows that most of the damage in contracting Covid-19 comes from the 'spike proteins' in the virus -

- Fairly early in 2020, researchers learned that the combination of at least 500mg Quercetin & 40mg Zinc per day, could help prevent the spike proteins from entering your body's cells..

Now, since 1. the vaccines work by teaching your body to make spike proteins & learn to fight them,
2. there has been some evidence that people who react badly are those who end up with spike proteins in 'unintended' cells in various parts of the body. and

3. my whole family started supplementing with Quercetin & Zinc, ever since I read this: E. Virginia Med. School

Paul Marik, MD, Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at EVMS, has been sharing his treatment strategy with physicians around the world.

For the general public, his recommended prescription to help prevent or ward off the virus consists of a cocktail of five vitamins and minerals taken on a daily basis. Dr. Marik’s recommendations are based on his accumulated knowledge from a 30-year medical career.

Dr. Marik’s recommendations:

Vitamin C 500 mg BID
Quercetin 250-500 mg BID
Zinc 75-100 mg/day (acetate, gluconate or picolinate). Zinc lozenges are preferred. After 1-2 months, reduce the dose to 30-50 mg/day.

Melatonin (slow release): Begin with 0.3mg and increase as tolerated to 1-2 mg at night
Vitamin D3 1000-4000 u/day (optimal dose unknown).

- I 'theorized' that the combination of Quercetin & Zinc can help prevent 'unintended' 'invasion' of spike proteins from happening.

Anyway, I'm not sure if the Johnson & Johnson is an option for you, as it seems the 'orders' that came down specifically said "both shots"?
But if it is an option - I will just say that my dad and I both researched all the vaccines and the J & J was the one that we both felt 'might' be safest...

Also, I have a strong gut feeling (which could absolutely be wrong) that the mRNA shots are being heavily pushed for some specific reason (likely just financial)
...particularly when you factor in the fact that all three U.S. vaccines can cause blood clots, yet the J & J was the one that the CDC 'paused' back in April (over like, 15 or so cases)...

I did write that, so you are correct. I should have noted there was a link at the bottom of the mandate for FAQ's. In the FAQ's they made the clarification that only one shot was required for the J&J vaccine, and that would be considered as acceptable.

My apologies for this omission.

If a job gives you an ultimatum, thats your signal to go elsewhere.

Owning the libs by throwing away your career and retirement plans.

Throwing what away?

Have you looked at US debt, and debt abroad?

Using logic, just how long do you think it will be before the USD tanks, causing all currencies to go with it. It might be nice to have your health when that happens, instead of sickness from a disgusting, shedding injection of garbage, that is worse then getting a mixture of heroin and meth off the street with a dirty needle. Yeah I said that, and I mean it too.

Just who is going to be working when the dollar value goes to nothing?

If it were me, and i had COVID already, i likely wouldn't get the vax until I felt reasonably certain that the antibodies weren't working anymore (there is literature around it, or maybe your doctor is a source of info).

Apparently I wasn't clear. The HAVE given us an ultimatum. That ultimatum is as follows:

You have until September 30th, 2021 to get BOTH vaccines. Period.

Failure to comply means you cannot set foot on our property in an official capacity. Period.

Non-compliance is a "Violation of Law".

These guys are not screwing around! This is not FCD just spit-ballin' here. This is an absolute mandate that came down to all of us.

Ill go to concentration camp, or a prison before I accept that crap.
You were perfectly clear

If you're in the USA, you still have the Right to declare a religious exemption and the SCOTUS has already ruled in prior cases years back that those religious exemptions can be based on personal religious beliefs rather than needing to be based on a membership in an organized religion. It would be illegal for you to lose your job if you cite the religious exemption, it's discrimination based on religion and a decent lawyer would make you a wealthy man in the ensuing lawsuit after you were fired for it.

Everything I have read says that the religious exemption ONLY goes off the table if and when the President of the United States declares a national security action around a vaccine and the feds mandate it for all Americans. That's not happened (yet) so I'd simply declare that the vaccine is opposed to your personal religious beliefs and call it good unless something changed on the federal level.

ETA:
1. Hell no

This is something we have been discussing for all the years Ive been on this site. Being prepared for a serious emergency, including governments taking rights away, economies falling apart, natural disasters, nuclear war, pandemics, etc. Didnt you follow through? are your freezers full? is your bank account stuffed? Did you take steps to live a little below your means, and pay off your mortgage? Is your gun safe, and ammo safe full ? We have had plenty of time to do these things. Im still driving the same truck since 1998, and just paid off the mortgage. I have too much food. We also bought off grid land, and now its set up with solar, just like this place. We dont wait to the last minute. Even if you live in a country that says you have to get it, or they are going to come stick it in you, you hop in a boat, or throw a pack on your back and bug out.

I think I probably will lay back for a little bit here and watch what happens. I'd be really surprised to see this not get challenged legally somehow. This mandate applies to more than just the municipality and its employees and contractors. They cast the net much wider. It also applies to hospitals, corrections, shelters and 'any other high density gathering places'. Some of these are outside of their jurisdiction (i.e. hospitals and corrections) other than for property taxes, sales taxes and building Codes. Many of these are unionized. I'm hoping some of these guys won't stay seated for this.

I'm pretty much powerless in this fight, but there are others who are not. Time will tell I guess.

If you had Covid i dont think you should get the vaccine. They seem to be very desperate on pushing these mandatory vaccination since they are openly admitting now that they are for mandatory i will be agaisnt them.

Okay, the horse is dead. We've beaten the stuffing out of it until there is nothing left to beat.

Yesterday, the edict came down from the Ministry of Truth; THOU SHALT VAX. There is no choice; thou shalt do it, or else thou shalt be gone. Period.

So, I have a couple questions for the great members here. Not looking for any editorials, there's plenty of those elsewhere here (probably what killed the horse we've been relentlessly beating by choking it to death on them). Just two simple questions. 'Yes' and 'No' are perfectly acceptable answers to both.

1. Did YOU get the vax?

2. Did YOU have any lasting or serious side effects from getting the vax?

All of us, myself included, have a story about someone we know, or someone's brother who had a friend who knew a guy, ad nauseum. These questions aren't about them. These two simple questions are about YOU, and only YOU.

Thanks in advance.

I had Moderna, first shot - nothing, it was also the most pain free injection I’ve ever had. Bit of a sore arm for 24-48hrs then back to normal. Second jab fine again until 24hrs later when I spent an evening in bed with chills and a temperature. Next day it was gone and I’ve been fine since. I’ve had far worse jabs in the past, for instance the Pneumonia one, that was a bitch! Unless your a wuss or experiencing serious side effects, then it’s a walk in the park. My boyfriend had Pfizer and other than a sore arm for a couple a days he had no reaction to either the first or second.

No, didn't (and won't) get it.

Know a few people who got it, haven't heard any direct reports of anyone with adverse reactions...

I will be working (Walmart management), as will aviation employees. FlyingClayDisk stated that he is in aviation, 35 year career, and 5 years from retirement. I think you're doomporning a bit hard. We'll be fine. My retirement account is fine.

A 35 year career, and retirement in the very near future, is definitely not worth throwing away for a couple of shots. Read the replies here. We're all fine.

We do own and operate a cattle ranch. That's my 'nite job'. My day job is in aviation.

So its all about money?

Ive recently given up a large portion of my pay. The portion I have given up was just over $62,000.00 . Im not going back. Its nice you have a back up side job to fall back on. You also have plenty of experience, and could use that to get another job elsewhere.

Money is ok, but life isnt all about money. In fact, the love of money is the root of all evil. We dont know what is going to be going on in this world 5 years from now, but at the present trajectory, and speed, it doesnt look good.

Ultimately, you will have to throw all this on the scales and see which way it tips for you. Ive had way too many concerns about this new gene therapy since they brought it out and trotted it across the stage for us all to see. Every single day, with the information coming in, and top doctors interviews, my concern only grows. Its not the other way around, like it should be. Add high pressure sales, and censorship to that, and its a real deal breaker for me.

Ive heard people say, "everythings for sale".

Im here to tell you " not for me! "

I wish you well with your decision. Either way you choose.
