I know the VA is 'encouraging' vets to get their injection of experimental chemicals. But it is not mandatory.
Now the VA is mandating that healthcare workers, employed by the VA MUST get the injection or else.

The Department of Veterans Affairs will require 115,000 of its frontline health care workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus in the next two months, making it the first federal agency to mandate that employees be inoculated, government officials said on Monday.

The weird thing is.....they have EIGHT WEEKS to get this done.
Eight weeks? Why not IMMIEDIATELY, TODAY? If this is so dangerous, why are they allowing such a long wait and the potential risk of exposing others?

The move comes as concern is growing that the substantial portion of the population that has not been vaccinated is contributing to the rapid spread of the highly contagious Delta variant.
The mandate will apply to workers who are “the most patient-facing,” Mr. McDonough said, including doctors, dentists, registered nurses, physician assistants and some specialists. Beginning on Wednesday, those health care workers will have eight weeks to get fully vaccinated or face penalties including possible removal, he said.

But in the meantime, they still have eight weeks to be around patients, until they must get vaccinated.

Nothing is actually what they tell you it is.

A friend of mine visits the Denver VA often, and the first floor is where you get your CV vaccines. He goes often and has thru the entire non-pandemic and the building is always busy. The vax area is never busy though. The nurse is always sitting there, alone, reading a book. Just a little perspective, from the local VA.

I've noticed the same thing when I've been over at the VA.
The vax area is empty. That said, I have no idea what the numbers
are regarding how many of us vets have gotten it either nationally or in my own state.
So, it could be that they have most of us squared away.
But, if you have all those extra vaccines lying around, might as well shoot up the staff.

I DO wonder about the legal status of employer mandates, though. One case was already thrown out but I se more on the horizon.

I don't think you can mandate an emergency use only vaccine, but I'm not a lawyer. It just sounds wrong.

If what I saw yesterday is true, I wouldnt recommend taking the Pfizer! This young lady was walking around on crutches, after she came down with crippling after effects and its not known if she will be able to walk again.

There is a new thread

Heart Inflammation Officially Recognized as Being Caused by Pfizer Vax

I am surprised that there these forced vax mandate at the same time that Heart Inflammation Officially Recognized as Being Caused by Pfizer Vax and the other mRNA vax.

This is very interesting.

I don't think you can mandate an emergency use only

Well i hear they are trying to get those two mRNA vaxs approved fast. If they do it fast i am still not getting it.

My VA doctor's receptionist called me out of the blue to ask me if I'd received the vaccine. I told her that's my choice and why she needs to know my status. She point blank replied to me verbatim "for the government".

No lists, eh?

Yeah, right.

ETA: Then a week later I had my regular scheduled phone appointment with my VA doctor and she spent a little over 20 minutes giving me drag about the virtues of being fully vaccinated, but I hadn't told her my status, she just assumed I didn't get it yet. She told me she would never recommend or prescribe anything that would harm me and I believe her, but I'm not getting that shot.

Just got off the phone with my carpenter buddy and he said two coworkers TODAY who were fully vaccinated have Covid and are really sick. My buddy is awaiting his test results.

So yeah, not happening.

What happens in eight weeks eh? The next flue season of course, but they need to explain away the "not-a-vaccine" deaths and adverse reactions as wave xn+1=x, where the wave numbers never end and the greek alphabet goes into letter combination, variant "alpha-beta-lambda" lol

Cheers - Dave

Interesting, how the government is mandating this untested shots,

Get ready all the next wave is coming is call the "seasonal flu" but it will be renamed to killer covid.

Now "Veterans Administration" is certainly not what you'd call it if you have ever served in the military or hope to receive care there.

The "Department of Veterans Affairs" is its proper name, by analogy with, e.g., the "Bureau of Indian Affairs."

The adverse implications of that word "Affairs" are present in both cases with the U.S. government. Dudes are picking up ladies, to be frank.

It's the gross assumption of common extramarital affairs in a pernicious environment of prostitution and loose morals.

Plenty of pretty female nurses are available to perform caregiving tasks for the men, part of a military "haircut" as a "straight man" who isn't going to refuse or turn down the attentions of the ladies.

By law, you cannot because it is EUA. We all know by know this requires consent... much different than flu shot mandates which have been upheld, but those are fully FDA approved.

Hoooooowever, the law seems to overtly dismissed with Texas and Indiana courts upholding C19 mandates in their respective states.

The fix is in ladies and gents.

And to add to it, now apparently it's OK for most people who had an allergic reaction to the first mRNA shot to get the second.
www.yahoo.com...

In the pre-clown world with immunizations, if you have an allergic reaction, unless there is a reeeeally compelling reason, you don't get that shot again.

The elaborate push to force this vaccine on everyone, particularly the unwilling, does not stem from any kind medical beneficence. When the law is trampled and safe medical practices pertaining to proper handling of allergic reactions are tossed to prevent what is a minor illness to most, there is something more in play than public health.

If anything, all of this crap is strengthening my resolve not to get the C19 injection because almost every day something new happens that is in direct opposition to rational and legal handling of the situation

This mandate will not go well at the VA medical facilities in the Chicago area. The majority of employees are Black.

BY CHOICE, Black people around Chicago have just a 34% Covid vaccination rate.

The VA is going to mandate jabs to employees or what? loss of employment?

IS this the same VA that implemented WAITLINES that ended up in the deaths of veterans, yet no VA administrator was in jeopardy of their cushy VA job?

I sure hope that bai-Den hasn't ceased the Veterans' ability to choose....

That sounds about right.
So far, all I got was a letter and an informational pamphlet expounding
on the virtues of getting the shot. Oh, and some nurse who called to do
a follow up told me that if I ever want to get the vax I can just come right down.
But, I have 3 more appointments in the next month. I'm sure I'm going to hear about
it from some damn body.
I'm reasonably sure that they have some sort of quota system in place.

The federal employees union will probably have something to say about that.
But, given the way that the case in Texas against the hospital went, and the fact that
the government is getting desperate to shoot people up, in my mind, this could go either way.
I see the legal logic being:
"Yes, you have the right to refuse a given medical treatment but you don't have a right to work at the VA hospital,
so you either get the vax or find another employer."

As for the vets, there's been no indication of them forcing us. As EternalShadow indicated, they're getting a bit heavy handed about cajoling us. However, not much else. But, the paranoid part of me wonders if somewhere down the road, they will threaten to chuck those of us who don't want it from the VA system. I don't see it coming to that but, I'm very often wrong on these matters.
