Iran has had protesters being killed. Over 10 killed these past few days, shot dead for protesting against having NO WATER!

The Iranian people need the world to cover this and support them, nobody is doing anything and these Mullahs are just doing whatever they want. They even cut off internet in the Kuzestan Region. I find it interesting, when some support could actually help the Iranian people overthrow these mullahs who have taken over the country there and holding a whole nation hostage.

I mean I would have more to say if I knew it was going on. Not to be that guy but do you have a source?

Well gee it could be because they are covering the protestors being killed in their own countries. Do you really believe coverage is going to stop the mullahs from doing what they want ? Of all the places in the Middle East, Iran is actually the one place I don't worry about too much as the people are largely educated and will not hesitate when they finally have enough to run TPTB right out on their ears.

Any outside influence would only encourage them to rally around TPTB as we have seen time and again. The proxy wars and world sanctions on top of COVID have taken a toll. Would not be surprised they are close to enough. But they do enjoy many more freedoms than most of the region, as far as the Middle East they are a very modern and progressive country.

Women have rights, have been leaders and unlike others in the region are allowed education.

How many of those protests are MEK based?

It's in the news. I'm not sure what you think anyone can do about it? What would you have the world do?

It's pretty bad but I chose Aljazeera cause they are less biased than any of the others, especially ABC...

You did the right thing by creating a thread about it. I wasn't aware this was going on but that just goes to show how the media operates as a single unit most of the time.

My take is that this kind of news doesn't fit with the mainstream belief. They're more about hating Israel. They can't be seen as making Israel's enemy look evil.

edit on 7-22-2021 by LogicalGraphitti because: Changed "good" to "evil". Had it backwards.

This is the first I’m hearing about it as well. That’s awful. I hope President Jill doesn’t catch wind of that. She’ll shut off the red states too. She’s already flooding them with covid infected “immigrants”.

I'm sure the white house is too busy building up pallets of Euro bills to send to Iran to do much else. Iran needs the money after all. The'll be able to buy water for it's citizens.

What's new?

It would be worth reporting if the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, dragged himself out of his coffin and announced Iran was going to become democracy and every day would be a gay day. That they would stop supporting terrorism, shelve their nuclear ambitions and make peace with Israel. That would be news.

I don't mind aljazeera when it's news from that area. News from them on anything outside the middle east tends to be questionable though. I also don't mind the guardian sometimes. At least recently i've noticed they tend to maintain a pretty central stance on things and their reporting lacks a lot of the sensationalism of other news sources. I don't actually know anything about the first or last sources sources so I can't comment.

ABC is indeed trash, but they're covering it I suppose so seemed worthwhile to at least add.

What if your intel says there isn't enough support to actually succeed in a rebellion or that they wouldn't actually go for more than fixing the water issue? What do you think might be the best way to try to get more support to side with an over throw? Maybe ignoring their plight and purposely letting it gets worse would push more people there in favor of a coup.

I suspect that's an artifact of your choice of news sources. I read The Times, ABC News, and others that have been linked and they've covered it.

BBC www.bbc.com...

Times even has a video report on it: www.nytimes.com...

CBS cbs3duluth.com...

If your news sources aren't covering news like this, maybe you should add some of these other sites to your daily reading.

You want to know why no one is talking about Iran? The same reason no one is talking about abortion. Because it isn't an election year.

No desire for MSM to cover that.

Or the Cuban protests.

MSM is to cover ONLY "protests" that POSITIVELY support a powerful central government where a small oligarchy is in charge.

Feudalism is the new desired objective by politicos.
