You think that's something, go check out Walmart's pricing on their meats. Unbelievable!

No. It's not ideal because it's turkey red winter wheat, but there is plenty of wheat in the midwest.

Didn't we lose like five years of stored wheat, a couple years back, when the area was flooded out?

See, you have forewarning. Go stockpile now while it is cheap and available.

One of my chest freezers is chocked full of sacks of organic wheat. All types. Im pretty sure some of it is from Oregon

Colorado and Kansas are going to have record wheat harvests this year, possibly even a historic year.

Feel bad for all the states struggling this year. We've been scorched by drought the past 4-5 years and it's awful nice to be getting some moisture like we've had this year!!

ETA - Just started cutting here last week which is actually kind of late. Usually wheat harvest is about the end of June, but with all the rain we've had the wheat was green a lot longer.

I find it real hard to take anything the radicals at gizmodo say seriously. That site hasn't been anything more than a racist, climate alarmist, socialist mouthpiece in years.

In the US and Canada, weather forecasts are causing concern again for northern US states and Canada as rainfall is lacking from the seven-day outlook. “Drought conditions and heatwaves in Canada have also been causing real concerns for the canola crop, with the potential for very poor yields if these conditions continue.”

The production outlook across the northern hemisphere for both grains and oilseeds is still far from certain then. “Without the large buffer of stocks, the 2021/22 season cannot afford poor yields and small grain crops, markets will react quickly to shortfalls in production,” said the analysts.

The whole NW has had very little rain at all that something has to give.

I mostly make pizza pasta and bread so I got hooked on Italian 00 flour, zero glysophates and tastes great. Might have to stockpile a little more.
