Sunstruck

Dappling down the canopy come
Bright beams flashing flames
Glancing giddily
singing soundly they wade wallowing,
following fishes and laughing loudly
vibrant vibes abound around
Her hitched up skirt soaked
His hat falls and floats
A bobbing boat swiftly swept
Away where adventures await.
Alas, dreamy days don’t last long
His hand holds hers marking the moment
Glancing glassily, she stops, shyly stares, seeing
Something immutable, infinite in him.
The two understood in unison
Needing nothing similitude unspoken
Embedded evermore sunlit spirits unbroken.

Mhm hot raspberries with vanilla ice cream and a shot Amaretto. Okay how not to make this strange... let's see. I also love you and initially my first post would have been the heart eyed smiley! But I deemed it a little bit too creepy. Explaining this now is strange. Did I really type this?

You are talented and a thousand times more creative than I could ever be, Miss Zosimov! And Miss Geezlouise put down a post in a thread of mine that needed to read three times to grasp it and it's not her who is to blame about it.

Thanks for posting more of Yerka's beautiful art! He's been doing lots of painting since I last checked out his stuff. So fantastical and dreamy.

I haven't really wanted to comment in this thread, lol; as usual, once I post poetry I get all embarrassed with it and just feel like closing the notebook back up and shelving it (metaphorically). All these really beautiful comments made it all worth it, though

I haven't been reading much. I have three more weeks of this teaching assignment (really enjoy my students, btw) and maybe I can really get down to it. Think I'll read more tonight though! I'm only just getting started. Taking the book outside now actually.
