Vladimir Putin personally authorised a secret spy agency operation to support a “mentally unstable” Donald Trump in the 2016 US presidential election during a closed session of Russia’s national security council, according to what are assessed to be leaked Kremlin documents.

The key meeting took place on 22 January 2016, the papers suggest, with the Russian president, his spy chiefs and senior ministers all present.

They agreed a Trump White House would help secure Moscow’s strategic objectives, among them “social turmoil” in the US and a weakening of the American president’s negotiating position.

Before I say anything else allow me to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt. The provenance of these documents is not 100%. However, experts have stated that the documents fit the style and time of legitimate Kremlin documents.

If proven true, it certainly supports many of the claims made over the past 5 years. It would mean that Russia actively attempted to overthrow our democratic process in an attempt to install someone they thought they could control and use to destabilize the US.

Of course, this does not necessarily mean that Trump was complicit in the Kremlin's actions. They could have been operating without his knowledge. However, the fact that the report mentions compromising material on Trump could mean that Trump was a puppet of the Kremlin once he took office.

Obviously the Kremlin is denying the legitimacy of the document. If they admitted to the contents it would cause a major international incident that would possibly see Russia's economy crippled by sanctions.

As I said straight off the bat, these documents are not 100% verified so the legitimacy of any of their contents are questionable. If proven to be legitimate, it would certainly be a major blow to Trump's legacy and his chances in 2024. Which may be the point of they are fabricated.

Well, I don't know if anyone got away with anything at this point, or even did anything.

But the subversive part of me hopes some seriously messed up stuff went down that would make Ron Jeremy flee in horror.

I bet they got these documents that”seem to represent a serious and highly unusual leak from within the Kremlin” for a Steele of a deal!

The Dems track record of accusing their opponents of the things that they are doing suggests that this is a deflection of the ChiCom assistance Joe Joe may have received.

I’m sorry but all credibility has been lost. The Dems and their pee dossier, porn lawyers, and 3am media retractions put this to bed long ago.

These were my initial thoughts as well. At the scene time though, anyone as rich and powerful as Trump who's been around for as long as he has is going to have some skeletons in his closet.

You must not have read the whole thing. Ron Jeremy filmed it. he was the "director", and a 2nd string fluffer.

Man, I thought you were better informed than this.

The Guardian has shown the documents to independent experts who say they appear to be genuine. Incidental details come across as accurate. The overall tone and thrust is said to be consistent with Kremlin security thinking.

Interesting and if the papers are genuine unsurprising they would want him as President and a Disunited States.

This would help bring about Russia’s favoured “theoretical political scenario”. A Trump win “will definitely lead to the destabilisation of the US’s sociopolitical system” and see hidden discontent burst into the open, it predicts.

Seems the document backs up what many had already deduced.

There is a brief psychological assessment of Trump, who is described as an “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex”.

And backs up what American psychologists had already deduced.

There is also apparent confirmation that the Kremlin possesses kompromat, or potentially compromising material, on the future president, collected – the document says – from Trump’s earlier “non-official visits to Russian Federation territory”.

The paper refers to “certain events” that happened during Trump’s trips to Moscow. Security council members are invited to find details in appendix five, at paragraph five, the document states. It is unclear what the appendix contains.

One day we will know.

You won't get any argument from me there.

I think part of his charm is the "dirty old man" angle.

Seriously though, I think they're trying to add some credibility to the Steele Dossier and head off Trump in his attempts at re-election.

Maybe it all turns out to be true? Still wouldn't surprise me lmao.

And for as Derpy as he's thought to be, he seems to be super good at hiding them from prying eyes.

I mean, he's the stupidest guy ever, was given everything, lost it all, cheated on his taxes (which he did himself each year) and had Russian Hookers piss all over him for fun. (and filmed it but only had one copy which he gave to his best buddy Vlad) I think as a birthday gift.

Hillary has been in negotiations with the returns department at Steel's shop of Doc's for months now. I bet she would be tickled to get her mystery gift they promised her.

Don't think that qualifies as a Debunk , more of a caveat emptor.
