They seem to be kinda pissed down there and are willing to risk their lives to protest, but what can/should the US do about it?

I really don't know. Thinking about how this could play out on the international stage is a little frightening but maybe I'm just over thinking it.

Probably not but the Taiwan situation is a going on and now this, well, it's interesting timing that crap is brewing around the world in multiple places beyond the places unrest was already happening.

It's so layered I don't know where to go with this so I'll just be my lazy self and let you guys hammer it all out.

Most likely the protests you see there on TV these days are promoted and enabled by some individuals associated with the CIA.

Certainly the difficulties experienced by all Cubans today is the direct result of years of US sanctions. The same could be said of Venezuela and too many other countries.

Just like the Arab Spring protests were that brought up the rise of the MB.

Why do you think it is your business to do anything about it??
Let them make their own decisions....the US should worry about themselves first and THAT should be the priority.
For once, just leave a country to their own choices and worry about your own.

What can the US do? Stop meddling in other nations economic affairs with debilitating sanctions and embargoes.

Castro is dead, all his cronies are gone or out of power. Time to make amends and let them trade and operate freely on the world markets.

Also, do nothing about the protests. Just let them deal with their own issues.

If we had opened travel to Cuba 20 years ago, they would have gotten a taste for freedom and been a Democratic Republic by now.

Cuba could be such a kickass vacay destination. Put the Casino's back just like in the '60s. I'll take a cigar too.

Greedy capitalist have a heart enough to feed, properly house, provide proper training, provide venues for relaxation and music for their working class help. Can't say all of that about Cuba. The Marxists have to keep the revolution for one world dominance going strong and they don't just roll over like the RINO's have in the USA.

Time for the Monroe Doctrine part 2.

All citizens of every North or South American country may NOT be a totalitarian/dictator/communist state. They must be a Republic that allows the citizens honest representation and participation in law making. Start with the USA. Our Marxists must go as their stated goal includes destroying our COTUS and our Bill of Rights, period. That is where we are right now in history.

Will we throw off this threat or roll over like the RINO's?

The President should get together with the CIA and plan an invasion.

We can always claim we weren't there on February 15th, 1898 and April 17th, 1961 because we were in Vegas.

And I'm pretty sure the Cuban people got this.

I'm not sure if i've smoked a cigar that wasn't Cuban. They're plentiful in Canada. Though, a Honduran guy I worked with years ago swears up and down the best cigars come from Honduras and that Cuban cigars are trash by comparison. He may have been biased though.

Ya’ll smashing bad old US forget that the current regime in Cuba allowed the USSR to use their island as a launch pad for nukes, that could have taken out the US eastern seaboard. So we arent friends. We dont support communism on this side of the world in any way. Bolshies here be damned.

I prefer Dominicans.

I send lots of Cubans to my American buddies though.

Disclaimer: I'm referring to cigars.

The USA should invade and then give Cuba to Canada.

We deserve a tropical location FFS

Yup.

Let them fight for their freedom, as long as the US doesn't arm the current government.

And as the US economy tanks because of the new "adminitration's policies and mandates, on whom do we blame socialism's failure in the US? I mean, if it's sanctions, it's sanctions.

Yea, I tried going to vacay, but after the 27th lawnchair bursting into flames, I came back to Ontario.
