Great, use the "Signal" platform. It is end to end encrypted, and does voice or text based transmission. That way you can send whatever you like to whomever you like.

Yup! I have been using this since it came out. But getting some family and some friends to use it, has been a hassle. Some people just refuse to stop using regular social media and their cellular texting *sigh*

Signal isn't as encrypted as you think it is. People get busted doing dumb # on there on a regular basis.

If you want security you'll want to disconnect your electronics from the wifi, bluetooth, and/or ethernet. Preferably "break" those functions so your electronics can't intermittently run them to transmit when you're not looking.

hey that never occurred to me

if the covid vaccine is free worldwide and apparently saves lives then why arent other medications free to save lives worldwide as you suggested insulin, and many other life saving drugs

makes me question this entire thing

It's all BS, and most people can't even come up with those thoughts without someone else putting it in their head.

I personally think that these so called fact checkers are little more than gatekeepers by another name, and that there is an extreme Liberal bias but...

Have you seen some of the garbage that people post these days?

There is a clear need for some moderation and quality control online. Hand up who remember the early post about drinking bleach, or home remedies that were potentially toxic, and those were just the idiots rather than the people deliberately trying to get people to harm themselves.

This forum could do with a lot more fact checking or even other members think critically about what is being posted. Like this posts a while back claiming that more vaxed people died from covid than unvaxxed. People read the stats and didn't understand enough of what they were reading to see that they actually showed the exact opposite..

We need more neutral fact checkers, not less fact checkers, oh and a meaningful dispute mechanism.

What's that saying? Doth protest too much?

That is how I feel. The more they keep trying to squash dissent, people asking legitimate questions, etc. it makes me think they are hiding something.

No duh

Naturally, the most important online safety issue is the harm being done to millions of children & vulnerable young adults through sexual exploitation & internet porn.....Oh wait, no it's not..

Ahem. Herr Schwab has decreed that the number one threat to online safety for all humans globally is:

Health misinformation

One main challenge to online safety is the proliferation of health misinformation, particularly when it comes to vaccines. Research has shown that a small number of influential people are responsible for the bulk of anti-vaccination content on social platforms. This content seems to be reaching a wide audience. For example, research by King’s College London has found that one in three people in the UK (34%) say they’ve seen or heard messages discouraging the public from getting a coronavirus vaccine. The real-world impact of this is now becoming clearer.

Research has also shown that exposure to misinformation was associated with a decline in intent to be vaccinated. In fact, scientific-sounding misinformation is more strongly associated with declines in vaccination intent. A recent study by The Economic and Social Research Institute's (ESRI) Behavioural Research Unit, found people who are less likely to follow news coverage about COVID-19 are more likely to be vaccine hesitant. Given these findings, it is clear that the media ecosystem has a large role to play in both tackling misinformation and reaching audiences to increase knowledge about the vaccine.
Have you read?

Pseudoscience is taking over social media – and putting us all at risk

This highlights one of the core challenges for many digital platforms: how far should they go in moderating content on their sites, including anti-vaccination narratives? While private companies have the right to moderate content on their platforms according to their own terms and policies, there is an ongoing tension between too little and too much content being actioned by platforms that operate globally.

This past year, Facebook and other platforms made a call to place an outright ban on misinformation about vaccines and has been racing to keep up with enforcing its policies, as is YouTube. Cases like that of Robert F Kennedy Junior, a prominent anti-vaccine campaigner, who has been banned from Instagram but is still allowed to remain on Facebook and Twitter highlight the continued issue. Particularly troubling for some critics is his targeting of ethnic minority communities to sew distrust in health authorities. Protection of vulnerable groups, including minorities and children, must be top of mind when considering balancing free expression and safety.

Sexual exploitation of children is actual only second in the list provided by Herr Schwab, meaning it's less important than alleged COVID misinformation. Just so we know how we're being asked to think when we're setting our moral expectations & reflecting back the correct virtue signalling societal normative behaviours.

#in' idiot bastards. How dare they? More important than paedophile snuff movies on the dark web is whether we consent to their experimental 'medical' interventions, which are almost certainly intended to depopulate en masse over the next ten years? I hope to God we have some literal vengeance land on their heads, and I don't mind that comment going into my permanent file, in the list of reasons they will eventually want to utilise in order to arrest & eliminate me.

Let it be known that I call vengeance down on them from Heaven, in the name of Christ - God knows each one of them & what they personally are responsible for. We will all be judged.

The Vax becoming universal allows them to write history so it tells future generations that Covid was as bad as bubonic plauge "but fortunately people vaxed and stopped it."

If a substantial portion of the population doesn't Vax, they're calling the CDC's bluff.

Of course the CDC doesn't want that to happen, but we'll never be quite sure which of two possible reasons that is. Is it:

A: Because they don't want people to die?

or

B: Because Covid was a scam and they want it swept under the rug?

Maybe a bit of both. And I bet each single person in the CDC chooses a different reason or mix of the two reasons from that list.
