One private space company invented and manufactures a special type of rocket which is called a hybrid rocket. This kind of rocket is used in small launches like delivering microsatellites in the orbit. this type of rocket is uncrewed and guided and is used for the test in microgravity conditions.

This is far more information than anyone needs to have an opinion. However it looks like there's several startups of which this is one. It looks sometime in January they "launched" a small test version.

The Stardust 1.0 rocket by Brunswick, Maine-based bluShift Aerospace launched at about 3 p.m. Eastern from the Loring Commerce Centre, a former Air Force base in northern Maine. The rocket fired its hybrid rocket engine for about 10 seconds on a very low altitude flight, with the rocket parachuting back to the ground minutes later.

huh?, did they not just lunch one of these payload rockets recently, it was livestreamed.. giant rocket caring lots of satellites. Or did I just travel back in time

Hybrid rockets are nothing new

Sir Richard Branson Virgin Galactic sub orbital rocket uses a hybrid rocket to propel it up past the Karmen line ( 80 or 100 km depending on who you talking to)

Branson is supposed to launch his spaceship , VSS UNITY, this weekend to inaugurate Virgin Galactic debut to carry passengers

The Hybrid rockets combines element of solid and liquid fueled rockets

Hybrid rockets typically use a solid fuel, usually Poly butadiene rubber or poly amide plastic with a liquid oxidizer, usually nitrous oxide (N2O) or mixed oxides of nitrogen (NO and NO2)

Rocket Motor Two is a hybrid rocket engine utilizing solid hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) fuel and liquid nitrous oxide oxidizer – sometimes referred to as an N2O/HTPB motor] – providing 70,000 pounds-force (310 kN) of thrust. The design makes use of lessons learned during the development of the Space Ship One hybrid rocket motor.

Rather than use rubber-based HTPB in the solid portion of the hybrid rocket motor—which had experienced serious engine stability issues on firings longer than approximately 20 seconds with the first-generation engine—the Virgin Galactic-developed SS2 hybrid rocket engine would now use thermoplastic polyamide (i.e., nylon) as the solid fuel component of the propellant. The plastic fuel was projected to have better performance (by several unspecified measures) and was expected to allow SpaceShipTwo to make flights to a higher altitude.

yeah,
I remember someone (few years ago) launched a model rocket that reached space... over 100 km or more.

edit: found it. : )
it was GoFast,
I'm remembering the 2014 launch.

en.wikipedia.org...
May 17 2004, with the successful launch of its GoFast rocket to 116 km (72 miles) altitude.

Yeah, but I`ve heard about the hybrid rocket by another private space company called Skyrora. This hybrid rocket is called SkyHy rocket It was named hybrid as it combines solid hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene ( HTPB ) fuel 90% hydrogen peroxide ( H2O2 ) liquid oxidizer.

As I have already mentioned this type of rocket is used for delivering microsatellites in the orbit or for some microgravity missions and experiments.
