You can still download apps without something being in the app store and there are plenty of other hosting services outside of AWS.

Amazon, Google, and Apple were risking losing money from advertisers by continuing to host Parler. At the end of the day, these companies' first priority is to their shareholders.

You have proof that the shareholders of those companies were angry that the App stores were offering Parler as an option?
Or did you pull that from your ass?

It fascinates me that people celebrate these companies as though they represent freedom. These are fascist companies, ran by pure evil, they are the real world version of "newspeak" 1984 all day long.

they are against Trump. That's all it takes to get your toes sucked by the haters.
They defend big tech and government. You can't make this stuff up.

Post your achievements.
I'm sure they're impressive.

Well I seem to be incredibly successful in triggering Trumpets so there is that!

Thank you btw!

That will actually get you premier access on Twitter and Facebook, so add that to your LinkedIn profile for bonus points.

I got a bonus? So sweet!

But come on Trumpets this will be thrown out of court! Why? It's a company not a right! You sign a contract to post on those platforms one he breached or violated! Hilarious! (Without the Hilary)

Ummm, yeah, I pretty much said that.

*shrugs*

Eat a Snickers. You're small petty and spiteful when you're hungry.

True I had a sandwich feeling a bit better, went back and read what you wrote. We both agree this is won't go far...

But this is a conspiracy site so maybe it is another ploy to make a company adhere to amendment rights?

You must be from another country.

Our Constitution doesn't work like that.

If there is a TPTB master plan, convincing "conservatives" to applaud a legal precedent of forcing private entities/individuals to accept and espouse someone else's rhetoric and opinion must be a pretty high rung on their ladder to domination.

The argument is that it's wrong to discriminate against someone for their beliefs. Political in this case. But most agree that as long as they are private companies, they can do what they wish. If they are government entities, they have rules to follow. And I suspect that is the only way to win this particular case.

If the T&C said only idiot leftie view points are allowed, it would make more sense. They didn't say that, but moderated as if they did.

If twitter didn't allow Black people, would that be OK? Remember, they are private and not subject to outside rules.

Big tech is already censoring websites with information on this class action lawsuit.

mobile.twitter.com...

Let's give them hell. All of them!

I still do not understand why people think it is ok to censor and ban a former president. That is what this is about to me. If big business can silence who is the most powerful person in the world, and the POTUS is, what do you think they think about you? All of us?

I am glad to see this. It is about applying the rules to all and not just some. A person on any current social media platform can call for the death of 45 or his supporters but if you disagree with a tranny in a tub with a little girl at a spa you are a Nazi. You have it all backward and I have never in my lifetime for like my country was in the #ter but...lambs to the slaughter.

Race is a protected class. Political affiliation is not.

I certainly support the spirit of this, but I dont have a lot of confidence in Trump & Co. Many clearly have no idea what they are up against, and I dont expect their actions to be particularly effective. And, even if they are effective, I wouldnt be surprised to see it make the overall situation worse because of point #1.

I suppose if they can "officially" bring the collusion between government and big tech to light, that would be something.. But none of this is going to convince anyone to believe something different than they already do.

That is only likely to happen if/when these groups gain more of a stranglehold and start cracking down on dissidents with more severity than simply silencing them on online platforms. Even then, it will only take the proper marketing catalysed with real-time data analytics (from social media, etc) to convince folks that its "for the best."

Companies like Facebook are already angling to be the sole internet provider in some developing regions and Alphabet is far bigger than many seem to realize.

Shame that Senate Bill 238 in California didn't pass, because that was one of the few things that state would do correctly.

That's not what is occuring though. None of these platforms have said if you claim to be on the right you can't post on our platform. They are censoring speech based on their community guidelines. Screaming into the aether on someone else's soapbox isn't a right.

Honestly I am surprised this has not been brought up yet.

It is game time, I personally will be joining this lawsuit.

These companies will be destroyed.

Lets go!!!

"While social media companies are officially private entities, in recent years they have ceased to be private," Trump said from his summer retreat in Bedminster, New Jersey. "Social media is the default censorship arm of the U.S. government."

The suit names specifically names Facebook and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google and CEO Sundar Pichai, and Twitter and CEO Jack Dorsey for allegedly violating First Amendment rights.

Trying to find a link to the Right Side Broadcasting, already at 1.4 million views, at its peak it had 202,000 live viewers.

The people fight for Trump because he continues to fight for all of Americans!

I'm glad to see that they took their time. Probably means that they have made a point to get all of their ducks in a row, all of their I's dotted and all of their T's crossed.

I hope to see major carnage.

How does one go about "joining" the lawsuit?

It's not matter of belief, It's fact. I don't use those platforms because they are just data mining the users, but that said they post vague, highly interpretable conditions then act upon them. They limit what you say. They do not stop you from signing up based on political leanings.

But once they determine your political leanings. . . .

I know a few people who are concervatives who spend a lot of time arguing on twitter. I maybe it has to do with what you say on those platforms. I know my wife gets a barrage of rightist memes on Facebook so that platform can't be doing much to hinder users from that demographic.
