US House Begins Investigating the Jan 6th Capitol Protest - This Was a GOOD Insurrection.

To my disappointment, in May, the U.S. Senate opted to NOT investigate the January 6th U.S. Capitol building Protest, Melee, Riot, Insurrection, or whatever your favorite term is for the event.

HOWEVER, today we learn that U.S. House speaker Nancy Pelosi is spearheading the formation of a House committee that will uncover WHY (primarily) Trump Supporters protested both inside and outside the Capitol building that day. Some even gave their life (heroes) over what they were fighting for.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her picks for the select House committee that will investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

She chose eight members, including Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, while the other five will be picked in consultation with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

The House set up the panel in a vote Wednesday after the Senate blocked a bill to create an independent commission.

What's really rich is how CNN has pushed hard for this investigation, even though they participated in getting the protestors fired up on January 6th...assigning one of their reporters to accompany domestic terrorist John Sullivan. (ATS Thread on the Subject: www.abovetopsecret.com... )

This is nothing but bad theatre. Everyone knows what happened, but the evil left cannot stop beating this dead horse because it's all they have.

If this goes away, people will focus on inflation, open borders, rising crime rates, defunding police by the left, and the evil left can't have that.

Thankfully, we have ATS, Telegraph, GAB, and other methods for seeing what's really going on with the committees.

Hopefully leading Republican Kevin McCarthy is a "White Hat", and will install pro-America/pro-Trump Republicans on Pelosi's committee.

A very important aspect of this committee's existence is that it will slow down the passing of Biden's "rape America" agenda.

Less damage + No "bragging rights", prior to the 2022 mid-term elections.

I wouldn't place much faith in McCarthy. He's already stated that he will strip anyone who joins this investigation of their committee appointments.

Of course when it comes to people like Matt Gaetz who are under investigation for having sex with a minor he's completely powerless to punish anyone.

I actually applaud this try at twisting the truth because it shows the world how disconnected they are from reality to claim this. They keep shoveling their own pits to fall into. Never tell the enemy they made a mistake so let them reap what they sowed.

Yes. The democrat talking point is that Republicans are defunding the police.

DBCowboy, in the years I've spent perusing this website, at no point have I ever heard you complain about government spending or taxes, same with the other conservatives here, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Democrats' narrative is clearly wrong, as conservatives have always been about big government and huge advocates of spending lots and lots of tax dollars. Am I right, or am I right?

Officers routinely make more money in blue states and departments with he smallest budgets tend to be found in the southeast and other historical republican strongholds. Draw your own conclusions but people on ATS need to stop blindly agreeing with whatever the narrative of the day is and do their own research in regards to police budgeting around the nation. I'm not saying I'm right but I've at least looked into the numbers and it's painfully evident many people around here haven't.

EDIT: it doesn't specifically have to do with this thread, it was a reply to the earlier passing comment that the "new democrat" talking point is that the Republicans are the ones defunding the police which, in many ways, is true. I don't want to drift the thread so I'm done

All Trump supporters had to do was loot,burn,tear down statues,GRAVE ROB, and destroy business's and everything would have been fine.
