nope, but the response to most things leaning right sure gives some strong clues.

Trump was liked by Blacks before he ran for president. However, the more he talked while campaigning the more shocking he became. He came out as a full blown racist. This is a side to his personality that was hidden, but in order to win as a Republican the real him came out. I guarantee you those same Blacks no longer support him. a reply to:

This last election he got the highest number of Black votes as a Republican. He created First Step Act and pardoned many Blacks put in prison in unjust convictions driven by Biden's bill, so 1000s of them are grateful to Trump. He created permanent funding for Black colleges, why the hell didn't Obama at least do this? He created the lowest unemployment for Blacks seen like forever, he killed Biden's bill that has been in place since the early 90s, he is openly aware of the horrendous Black on Black crimes, something the left doesn't want to talk about or do anything about...

Trump is racist because the left media says so. So what did he do as President that was so racist? What he say that was so racist that isn't some liberal assumption? Biden says racist cringy things all the time, so is that his racist ID leaking out?

Well there you have it. Yes, I make threads about Trump and what a farce is is. You have that right. However, it may be that the disconnect here is that you equate that with a bunch of other things that I do not support. A lack of support for Trump does not a democrat make.

Terry, you and a couple of others claim to be for neither party and at times say simple comments like both sides suck, but like the others, you tend to post 99% the liberal narrative. This small group puts a lot of effort in attacking Trump using the same false claims the left media and social media pushes while ignoring everything wrong with the left side of the house including Biden who is like a beacon of wrongness. How much effort did you put in during Obama's 8 years that we could talk about many things, how much effort will you put in for the Biden administration, I'm thinking pretty close to zero too, so maybe you need to look in the mirror and see your true self and own it.

And these idiots, whom like some in here, attempt to lie about Trump and his supporters being racists keep on claiming that President Trump and all his supporters are racists...when the only ones making claims that "whites are a supreme race ARE DEMOCRATS and communists in BLM, Antifa, Black Panthers, etc...

The majority of minorities are more moderate than what people think and when they see all this progressive crap they are like, I'm not that! The radical left is not that party even though they have taken up the narrative and mainstream media sees it as good story to push. The WOKE left is about as cringy racist as one can get...

Take an average Black person on the street and ask them if a group of White people came up to you and said you were wrong and told you what racisms actually is for you, told you that you are being discriminated against because you can't get a voter ID, use the internet etc, told you that you need more help than others because you can't do things on your own, told you you need special treatment because you are not smart enough to compete, so on and so forth.. What do you think they would call that group outside of bat crazy?

My wife is a woman of color and an immigrant, and she supports Trump 100%, doesn't care about his crappy tweets, just looks at what he works on accomplishing.

Would it be fair to say that ''most things'' on the ATS political spectrum lean ''right''? Or would even asking that question in the first place exemplify the qualities of a Democrat to you. Remember here, the topic at hand is ''Democrats'', not liberals or progressives or what is termed RINOS. Democrats.

If one is of the notion that only Democrats deplore Trump then I guess that makes all of us democrats in the minds of those who think like that.

No, I'm right, both parties are garbage and erode the rights of American citizens. The only people who don't see it that way are politically deluded.

I can agree, so why did you hate Trump so much being the one outlier of the evil political machine? His four years were pretty good, and until the pandemic most had huge positive outlooks in their life. Pandemic aside, I was much better off under Trump than the short time under Biden, and Biden hasn't hardly started yet.

What the political elites think from both sides is Trump never should have happened and they are still trying to erase him like some history revisionist would.

You fought hard against everything Trump tried to do. I bet I could find a good number of posts from you on just Trump's wall, as example, and here we are with a flood at the border and Biden working on Trump's wall again that they fought so hard against.

Under Trump the wall was a symbol of evil for the left and today it is good. The tail wags the dog for the liberal party more times than not and you my friend are right there most of the time lock in step with them, so a simple disclaimer here and there from you really doesn't add up.

He's no 'outlier', he's a conniving jackass who switched parties for convenience, another authoritarian POS in a long line of them.

I see a lot of posts from both sides... But why "deplore"? Did you deplore Obama for starting his own wars without congress approval, using three letter agencies to his own political advantages, come out and cry foul when we learned the dossier that drove the main narrative for years was faked and paid for by Hillary's team? Was Obama deplorable when he did things like Fast and Furious, killed Americans with drones, built and used the kid cages blamed on Trump, so on and so forth?

BTW "deplore" is a Hillary term she uses to describe the right...

Was your first anti-Trump post before he was President like most good little far lefts were?

You know X, I happened upon ATS accidentally. Interesting name and the topics at that time were diversified. There was at that time the build up to 2012 and I thought it would be interesting and educational to spend a few months, maybe a year with people who were speculating along the lines of what it could all mean.

My own experiences were diverse enough in the ufo and psychic field that there were a number of things here that were attractive. That phase passed but I hung around. The revolutionary discussions and all. Anti establishment stuff.

But then I noticed that when Trump ventured onto the scene, all that revolution stuff kind of got swept up in his wake. That the choice here became simply for him or against him. My own revolutionary tendencies and arguments against our modern society quelled at the prospect of heralding such a buffoon as a champion of the people.

So you are right. I did not punch much at Obama as I found that there was plenty of that going on here already. Plenty of people punching at the establishment as presented by the Obama administration. Plenty punching at the Clinton Machine, thought I have made any number of comments about that scoundrel and his gal. Same with this Biden era. Plenty of people pointing to the obvious state of affairs and how his administration will either fail or usher in the New World Order. Plenty of that all ready.

As for the 99% liberal narrative, well I suppose it can appear that way. Especially when any narrative around here that questions Trump is labeled that way.

For me X, the question is what is true about liberalism and what is true about conservatism.

Opps gotta cut this short. I"m off to Father's Day breakfast at the Hot Rod Cafe.

So was there anything Trump did that you could agree with? lol

Did your hate for him start decades ago, or 30 seconds after he won? And yes he is about as much of an outlier as one could get, but all is well again under the guidance of someone that has done nothing but sh!tty politics since Jim Crow...lol

The part that gets me is there is so much material on the left that would be like underhanded softball pitches to you if you were truly for neither side. Think how much fun you could have daily talking about Biden and Harris as they have a never ending supply of material. Think of how much fun you could have talking about all the crazy liberals in Congress...

It would be like shooting fish in a barrel...but you don't and stick to the Orange Man Bad, but can you tell me the one thing that Trump did that was so damn awful no matter if you are right or wrong about his character?

As I said Terry, you can claim anything you like, but you know you at the end of the day. Why not be proud of who you are?

You were here for the Obama years. It was a vastly different place then. But being the victim is paramount, so ignoring all that is likely the best scenario.

I was kind of the same as I started in 2007, but it is still there if one looks for it.

But then I noticed that when Trump ventured onto the scene, all that revolution stuff kind of got swept up in his wake. That the choice here became simply for him or against him. Actually much that we see as all this extreme progressiveness today started just after 2012, way before Trump. Obama truly had a huge lockdown and had a huge following within the bureaucratic side of Goverment in all the three letter agencies, DOJ etc. He went from a promise to be the most open Goverment to literally shutting down FOIA, using his agencies as political tools...

This was when we saw the start of BLM, race riots, anti-police riots, Occupy Wall Street, ANTIFA, #metoo, anarcrist, progressives so on and so forth really get their roots in the ground. Hillary not winning was like gas on a fire already lit by Obama administration that was allowed to do anything they wanted with little oversite as the Conservative congress didn't want to go down the path of impeaching the first Black President, so he had Carte Blanch to do as he desired. With the media and the growing social media being 90%+ liberal here wasn't even any checks and balances from that side either. I would bet we could look back on Obama and find 20 things he did that would impeached Trump in a second for the same act and that might be even an understatement.

So 2012 was the start of the great divide as even I didn't vote in 2008 as I didn't like either candidate and like most, hoped Obama would be good, and it wasn't until well after 2010 I realized it wasn't going to happen and much worst than anyone could have guessed. I also didn't vote in 2016 as once again I didn't like either candidate, but I did in 2020 for Trump.

As for the 99% liberal narrative, well I suppose it can appear that way. Especially when any narrative around here that questions Trump is labeled that way.

For me X, the question is what is true about liberalism and what is true about conservatism.

I'm a Liberaltarian/Constitutionalist at heart that drifts across both Dem and Rep lines as to the topic. I have slammed Trump many times, but there really is no need to with the avalanche of hate for him, so someone got to point out the good stuff too. Trump was never really given a chance from day one even though he was successful. He walked into both sides not wanting him, Obama working to take him out a year before he won, massive Obama loving government bureaucrats at all levels wanting to see Trump go down for anything, and were still working long after Trump started, Taking out Hillary who was the chosen one with 90% chance of victory...so on and so forth... And Trump didn't help himself by being an attack dog on twitter every time someone, and there was an unlimited number, attacked him while social media/big tech is almost all liberal...

In the end I was more surprised than not that he was actually good in many areas, but the progressive left has done their job well. I don't see people really shifting off of Trump and focus more on Biden who is now in charge and will have huge impact on our lives, I say Trump lost so give it a rest and focus more at what is at hand now, but it is too easy to just keep hating and not see your life start to crumble at the edges under Biden who seems to get the typical media pass for liberals.

First, back from breakfast which of course turned out to be a NOt Father's Day breakfast after all. My wife had me and one of our sons believing it was so we do have next week to look forward to.

Obama in 08 was a promise. A promise to end the madness of the Bush and Neo-con years. The endless ME wars and all. I voted for him, the first time in 4 cycles to vote D. Anything to strip the neo-cons down a bit. That and the fact that he was the first candidate with a chance of breaking the over two century '' white male'' syndrome that has afflicted our pool of choices. What degree of hope I might have had in him making a difference enough to pull us out of the slide into social collapse was dashed soon enough, maybe a few months. I didn't vote for him a second term and went back to voting third party.

I"m old enough to have had a life of both ardent liberalism and fervent conservatism. When the promise of one didn't pan out I drifted to the other. For me at least, the other ended up turning itself over to Trumpism. In 16 I switched my 30 year registration over to D from R so that I could vote against Clinton in the primaries leaving the Rs to choose among the driftwood that had accumulated at the top of the Rs. It didn't matter much which the Rs chose to me. I had seen enough of the Clinton Machine making fools of the Ds for two decades.

In to many ways I see the expression of the so called ''progressives'' in the same way I see the expression of the ''non-Rino'' conservatives, both recognizing the brutal reality that Western Civ is on the verge of collapse. Recognizing the symptoms seems the easy part though the remedy elusive. Almost like one group saying move to one end of the ship while the other crys run to the other. Neither will solve our problems. This is why I try to express something in the middle to those who hold with either end of the boat.

You got me in trouble as I bitched at my wife for not wishing me Happy Father's day...lol

The problem is the progressives are very dangerous to anything we have held near and dear in the creation of our country. Far from prefect, but better than anything else at any point in time. Progressives want to canx the whole country while those non-rino conservatives just want to go to work and take care of their families. BIG BIG differences there my friend.

The funny part about Trump was he wasn't a politician in any way shape or form, and people couldn't take that. He even worked hard on his campaign promises like they were actually promises, damn him! Biden has already come out and said student loan relief will not happen and he talked about how important that was...lol But then that is what they do over and over and over and over........

The...best...interview...ever....

I cannot believe we are this far in and anyone is arguing that it is wrong to look for leaks in WH discussions. Remember 44 used the Espionage Act to make certain reporting 'illegal'. I thought it was all about Freedom of the Press and not to use it as an arm for disinformation.

James Risen knows first hand.
