Trump still triggers fools across the world, you are living proof.
Care to chime in on the Biden dumpster fire that’s raging out of control here in the USA?

Twitter feels they have to moderate inciteful violence. That's their choice and there is bound to be much human flaw in their approach. Such as the controversial ban of Trump.

Sure, I'd believe that if they moderated the violence that's been incited by leftists, BLM, antifa, etc.....there was a time that people were showing Twitter proof of antifa using their platform to organize their violence, yet nothing happened. Who tends to be "moderated"?? Anyone with a viewpoint that doesn't fit the narrative Twitter wants to spread, mostly being conservative viewpoints.

So, Twitter "cares" about free speech when they're the ones being targeted, but is perfectly fine censoring anyone they disagree with. Twitter is supposed to be a platform for people to communicate and share thoughts/ideas. They've gotten too big for their britches and feel it's perfectly ok to only share thoughts/ideas they agree with, so in many ways I'm glad the shoe is on the other foot. If they don't want to be banned, then maybe they shouldn't have been banning, eh??

One reaps what they sow.

So exactly how many people in Nigeria access Twitter?

More people should "cancel" their Twitter accounts as it's a cesspool of zero IQ vomit, hate, and intolerance.

Twitter feels they have to moderate inciteful violence.

And yet, after months of burning, rioting and looting, billions in damage, assaulting anyone they deem to be not on their side, BLM and ANTIFA still have Twitter accounts.

For a supposedly "highly educated" group of people like the Left claim to be, along with their moral superiority, they sure don't understand the word " hypocrisy "

Not disagreeing that twitter has failed in the past. But perhaps twitter was in the right here regarding the deletion of tge tweet.

Being bias regarding antifa and blm doesn't mean they're bias in Nigerian politics. Also, Twitter's percieved bias in American politics doesn't mean the rest of the world should stop using the service.

But how is the president's ban of a useful social media product good for Nigerians?

Is Twitter actively favoring one side of this Nigerian conflict?

And how does a ban in Nigeria support the rejection of Twitter's percieved left bias in America?

The point being, it's ok for Twitter to ban anyone they want, which seems to be outspoken Conservatives, but if a country bans Twitter, it's suddenly a matter of free speech and basic human rights.

You can't have it both ways. It's either a basic human right and people are free to speak their minds or it's a case of "you can say whatever you like as long as I agree with what you're saying ".

It is far past time that Big Tech got a taste of their own medicine.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You're either for free speech, or against it, and if you're against it then don't get mad when others take away your free speech. It's that simple.

I think it is a half win. While losing an outlet of communication, they are losing an outlet that controls the conversation which isn’t much of a loss. Too expound upon that they have doubled down as to censor not just opposing ideas but leadership that they disagree with which can be taken as aggressions and usurpations.

That said hurray for Nigeria demonstrating how to correct the problem. Just turn it off and walk away rather than play their game. I did the same with Facebook and Twitter a month ago by closing the account and deleting the app.

Here's something to think about; If the tweet in question was something Twitter agreed with, would they have deleted it??

Probably not, which is the main issue here.

I think the answer to any puzzlement lies in the claim of Twitter that access to it is a human right. Which, by their own definition, makes them a human rights abuser.

Its ludicrous on its face.

As a world leader, i would certainly feel ire if my viewpoints were censored while the Khomenei is not. I think the double standard is what is at odds. This goes beyond politics. All animals understand fairness. A dog that is always getting stiffed at treat time will lose interest in treat time entirely.

I don't wanna cancel them I wanna make fun of them and call out their disgusting practices. I could see why some countries would want to cancel them as it seems they intel agencies of the west love to use them to stir up trouble.

Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter because they banned their President. More COUNTRIES should ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing free and open speech—all voices should be heard. In the meantime, competitors will emerge and take hold. Who are they to dictate good and evil if they themselves are evil? Perhaps I should have done it while I was President. But Zuckerberg kept calling me and coming to the White House for dinner telling me how great I was. 2024?

I do not want any of you ever to say "cancel culture", when you godemperor has spoken so.

Maybe he does not like Twitter and FB, maybe they do not like him. That is not the point. The point is that there are people who say "the woke/leftists/communists (which are completely different groups of people, but whatever) are canceling xyz! They cannot and must not do that!", and they are loyal cultists of one of the biggest wanna-be cancelists of the planet.

Diaper-donnie would cancel everyone who does not pamper his diapered behind, and that is not the way this world works.

Only in Nigeria and states like that.

Have fun with hateful answers, I am out working.

You are not. You’re checking every post on your thread as it poofs into existence.

Harray for Nigeria? They are banning a platform the citizens always had the CHOICE of using. Now they have no choice. The only win to be had is that of the Nigerian president and some psuedo win for people who hate twitter.

How does bias towards BLM/Antifa translate to being bias towards a Nigerian conflict? It seems most people are concerned with Twitter losing users, rather than what harm this could do for the Nigerian people who are using twitter to share their voice.

I'm confused.

You supported Twitter and Facebook when they banned, canceled people and Trump.

Twitter is not a free speech site. Facebook is not a free speech site.

You all have endlessly explained to us that they have T&C's and are private companies.

So now you are upset because people don't want to use what these private companies have to offer?

Are you mandating a forced use of Twitter and Facebook?

Do you want to make it mandatory to use these sites?
