Powerful example of an Oil & Gas company daring to fight back against Wokeness and Virtue signaling by a Lefty company refusing to do business with their industry.

BACKGROUND:

North Face turns back on Texas oil and gas company, refuses jacket order

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Innovex Downhole Solutions says it was recently denied an order of jackets by The North Face, a popular outdoor recreation company, because Innovex is an oil and gas business.

Each year, the company gets a Christmas gift for its employees. This year, it was supposed to be a North Face jacket with an Innovex logo, a company Innovex has ordered gear from in the past.

The company providing the jackets said The North Face doesn’t want to support the oil and gas industry in the same way they’d reject the porn industry or tobacco industry.

“They told us we did not meet their brand standards,” Anderson said. “We were separately informed that what that really meant is was that we were an oil and gas company.”

So, basically, The North Face clothing company uses petroleum products in over 90% of their own manufactured products...yet, because of their Wokeness...and virtue signaling to the Left and the Biden administration...have vocally likened the petroleum industry to the porn and tobacco industry...and refused to fill a small order from an Oil and Gas company, because they're so evil.

This CEO of another Oil and Gas company has adroitly pointed out North Face's hypocrisy...and does so splendidly.

Beautifully done. I laugh at all these people that think by going to all electric cars we are "getting off oil and gas" Almost EVERYTHING you use is oil based. Almost every component of an electric car is oil based, So we are never going to do away with oil, just accept it and live your life.

I absolutely love this approach. Especially since the billboard campaign is being done in the area surrounding the corporate HQ. The very place these "woke hypocrites" must drive by each day to/from work. A workplace that would not exist without that "evil oil industry".

Time has come to offensively and publicly point this out at each and every instance.

They want a boycott.....you got a boycott.

Oh and for the record, I just perused their website for the products they make and sell (at wildly inflated prices to the suckers, I may add).

The "event" took place in Dec 2020 and kind of died off until recently when some oil & gas group rented the billboards around the company's HQ in Colorado.

Kind of like reverse-cancelling I guess.

I'm sure there is more to this, but that's beside the point. TNF is probably objecting to some specific element of the petroleum industry's practices without taking into account the larger picture of the company's dependence on oil. Textbook example of classical woke shortsightedness.

If I was sitting on the Board of Directors I'd be calling for a vote to immediately FIRE every single one of the executives in the food-chain of this boneheaded decision! And the reason? While some dumbass woke middle management marketing "genius" probably thought this was a great idea, the reality is the stockholders don't give one sh!t, nor shinola, about ANY of that crap! All they care about is PROFITS! And, that dumbass move might have just influenced the corporate purchasing decisions of up to 20 million potential customers who work in the energy industry!! BOOM!
