110 million dollars for the oil it was only 1 ship. went on the Nasdaq and sold at 55 dollars a barrel. Hes not exactly giving it to Iran its going into an escrow account. However one could argue depending on the outcome of the court case that he did give it to them. I guess we shall see because this is sort of a backdoor way to finance and make a deal with them. All the Biden admin has to do is say well we have 110 million we could give you if you do this.

That would be over 21 billion dollars and require at least 20 tankers, so i dont know where they got this number from but its wrong.


I know Iran wants a credit line of 15 billion to sell their oil on the markets. They said they will not negotiate on nuclear weapons until they get one.

I just don't know how likely that is I know South Korea is trying to return funds held in sanctions to Iran as part of the deal for releasing their tanker that was seized. Not sure how much that is but it could be what they are talking about.

Were you thinking they should actually donate the physical oil to victims?

Why would anyone even want to do that?

Of course they turned it into cash first.

And put it into escrow until the court decides which victims have claims.

How it's done.

Will be watching for destination of funds for the most recent example. Hope it is handled in same way.

I think some read that as 1,033 million barrels.

(Or 1.03 billion barrels)



1.033 million will fit on a single typical tanker.

1,033 million would not.

Was apparently confiscated from tankers violating sanctions, and proceeds from sale of the confiscated oil was donated to a fund for victims of Iranian backed terrorism.

No oil was purchased from Iran.
