I guess the old suit case full of money trick is to exposed so they go this route to give Iran the money for their terrorist activities and weapons. What a clown act this administration seems to be except they are to stupid to even consider what damage they are doing to our country and those close to Iran.

The United States imported a rare cargo of 1.033 million barrels of Iranian crude in March despite sanctions on Iran’s energy sector, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed.

The cargo is only the second oil import by the United States from Iran since late 1991, data on EIA’s website showed.

Sounds like the CIA's budget in Tehran just went through the roof. Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump all avoided having to import oil from Iran. Why is Iran's Black Gold so important Joe? Is it a payoff of some sort?

That's weird. When other countries like in the EU would do that they would be fined/punished.

Your right there would be fines. Berkshire just paid 4.1 million for its deal with Iran.

thefinanceinfo.com...

If I was Berkshire id sue the US government for the return of my money plus damages.

It seems that the oil was seized by the U.S. from the Liberian-flagged tanker Achilleas, which was transporting Iranian crude.

Seizing isn't quite the same as purchasing. Is there a money trail from U.S. to Iran with regards to this oil?

per your source

A cargo of 1.033 million barrels of Iranian crude oil landed on U.S. shores in March

bolding mine, did they get lost somewhere and sail across an entire ocean before realizing they took a wrong turn?

Careful.

The other time oil was imported since 1991 was under Trump, in October 2020.

Odd that your source doesn’t mention anything about it being seized huh?

No alarm bells ringing for you?

Using yours and the OP’s logic, Trump imported Iranian oil too.

Should really fact a bit more before slinging mud.

Reading is tough for you I assume?

Landed on US shores is not the same as seized

Yeah how about you learn to read sunshine.

From the Reuters link..

The cargo was registered in EIA data released late last week for the month following the SEIZURE by U.S. authorities of the Liberian-flagged tanker Achilleas, which was transporting Iranian crude.

...

The United States last recorded Iranian crude and petroleum imports of 3,000 barrels per day for October 2020, EIA data showed, also oil Washington had SEIZED under its sanctions programme.

Emphasis mine.

I believe she's done more than the Silver Sniffer since January 20th.

First paragraph..

A cargo of 1.033 million barrels of Iranian crude oil landed on U.S. shores in March, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed, the second shipment of Iranian oil to be imported into the United States since 1991.

Yes, and this oil made it to the US, where none of the other oil referenced has confirmation of making it to the US.

Seized in the middle east isn't the same as a boat on US shores...How can you not see that?

I’m sure with some digging we can find out what they did with it.

That’s not really the issue here though, it’s the false assertion that the US received oil from Iran. That is false.
