Wowww. Hi! I am new to this site, and just read the linked thread (Hidden_Hand's) two days ago. Very cool synchronicity - it was originally posted in 2009, and two days after I discover it, you resurrect it!

Like others, Hidden_Hand's responses in that thread really helped me shift my perspective on good and evil. It is quite liberating to play with the idea that our 'evil overlords' are actually a very highly developed consciousness doing (and inspiring others to do) very evil things in order to help us all grow and evolve in the alignment that we choose. I am positively aligned, through and through, but now I see that I could not be so (and continue to grow and evolve) if there were no negative catalyst to allow me the freedom to choose.

It's a very interesting theory and resonates with me a lot - I feel like it was a missing puzzle piece in the ongoing puzzle in my brain that is forming a truer and clearer paradigm of what reality is.
