People really need to start asking Congress why they need to keep taking away or guns while they need 2 BILLION DOLLARS in military-grade equipment and personnel.

This thinking goes back to something I've thought a long time ago, which is that they need a pay cut, something based on their state's GDP...something performance based. But then i started thinking. How does that happen? Congress would have to change it for themselves.

A judge can't rule in a case he's in our knows the people, but Congress can make rules for themselves

There's no way several hundred unarmed people trashing offices at the Capitol building, should make Democrats tremble in fear every day of their life.

The fact that Jan 6 happened should be a national embarrassment no matter where your politics reside. I imagine that if it was BLM that did this you would be singing a different tune. But even putting that aside if it was ISIS, Hamas or any foreign country/terrorist organization that did this we would be bombing the crap out of some one right now.

conversely, if BLM had done this, we would hear #ing crickets from you and yours.

But what happened, isn't what you describe. If the doors are held open by the cops who's job it is to secure the building, it's hard to call everyone who entered a criminal. And since nobody was armed, and the only death related to the riot was a Trump supporter, your narrative seems to be ripped apart at the beginning.

It was a riot, and those who caused violence were and are idiots and should be punished. But I don't think it's fair to punish the entire republican base for these actions.

Those who live in glass houses...

Sixteen days after her vote to impeach then-President Donald Trump, Rep. Liz Cheney’s campaign office logged a $22,000 expense for personal security. Two days before his vote to convict Trump, Sen. Mitt Romney’s campaign team recorded $43,000 spent for his safety.

Those massive sums from two of the most high-profile Republicans in Washington is a fraction of the security spending that GOP lawmakers incurred after publicly blaming Trump for inciting January’s insurrection at the Capitol. More than one third of the 17 GOP lawmakers who voted to impeach or convict the former president used campaign funds to install security systems or hire private details within weeks of their votes — for an eye-popping total of nearly $200,000 over the first three months of this year, according to an analysis of filings with the Federal Election Commission this week.

It was 97% mostly peaceful.

The Right would be more willing (and has been) to condmen the actions of a few dozen people on January 6, if the Left wouldn't keep lying and being so two-faced about it.

Any comment about the OP's mention of Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell being pursued and terrorized on the streets of D.C. by violent Antifa/BLM nut jobs??

Were you even aware that this happened? (probably not).

They clear gap in thinking is that D.C. can be militarized to the TEETH but....the Swamp Creatures are meant to actually, you know, return to mingle among the peasants in their home feifdoms. They're supposed to actually interact with the pols that, you know, put them in power and pay their salaries.

You going to militarize every single congressional district and senators/reps headquarters?

There are certain tactical realities that would make taking action on D.C., in the event that anybody was actually planning an "insurrection", a poor approach to the matter, operationally.

But then again, these are by and large people that have never served, have no f'ing idea about such things, have no grasp of military history or history at all for that matter.

The contrast between say the composition of the legislature in the U.S. in say 1810 and now is .... there are no metaphors sufficient to describe it. If the founding fathers could come back and just see what our government has become.

To be aware of another person’s problems and dilemmas, you have to care less about your own feelz.
Not possible with these deranged cult members, their own feelz take precedence over everything and everyone.

Is someone really that bad at simple math, or just a troll?

Even if every single senator and congressman (535) spent as much as never trumper, tds suffering Jim Jordan, it would only add up to 24m and change.

The deranged dems are demanding nearly 100 times that amount.

When a representative government tries to further segregate themselves from those they represent it can't possibly be a good thing no matter the reason or the times. representative governments should be able and happy to walk amongst their constituents; if they aren't or they can't they are clearly doing something wrong.

People weren't angry 20 or 100 years ago?

People weren't violent 20 or 100 years ago?

People weren't unreasonable 20 or 100 years go?

Why the need now to further isolate our politicians when we got along just fine with out doing so the last 20 or 100 years?

This mentality on the part of our politicians is dangerous and I unfortunately see the need for more Jan 6ths to abate that danger.

Why would they need that much extra protection?

I take solice in knowing when TSHTF no amount of money is going to protect them.

I doubt anyone is actually going after them but I'm thinking people like you, posting stuff like this, gives them the excuse to dig a little deeper into the public's pockets.

That's knowing how the game is played.
