ATS Bandwidth is garbage now

At least I think it's the bandwidth, and it can't just be me.

Tested on my phone, and my computer; 5G, 4G, public wifi and my own internet which is giga-fast.

This site just does not want to load about 80% of the time, at least on certain times of the day where there's probably more traffic than usual.

This can be very aggravating when trying to reply to a thread, making a new one (just getting to this page where I can vent my frustration took about 10 minutes of f5ing, opening new tabs, trying over and over), or replying to a religious zealotry thread where there's a hilarious claim that some new happening is a devil agenda here to take all our good god fearin' folks and yadda yadda.


At the end of it, is just the fact that I've been really turned off from even coming to this site recently, after the sale of the domain to the new overlords. I really doubt this thread will survive, but maybe the new overlords are more welcoming to threads that have legitimate questions about the website (rather than the old owners that just nuke anything critical on the website at all)


So...Anyone else experiencing this? or is it the ol' satan squads again?

Been slow from mobile for a while. Desktop its fine. Too lazy to tether to my mobile from desktop and run a fiddler proxy to see whats going on, but that is where I would start if I was ambitious enough to understand the problem.

ETA: its never slow loading main page. Only traversing between new topics threads and back to new topics main page.

I just came back for the first time in about 6 or 7 years yesterday, I havent had any issues on my laptop.

I route my connections with a VPN through a Chinese porn site then use a Russian server host.

When I load the site then back out of a topic sometimes won't load again. I have to close out completely then go back to main site. On tmobile 5g phone.

Almost like an engine running 87 octane when it needs 89 🥱

No problems here. ATS pages load fast, post fast, and uploads are fast.

On rare occasions though, it is slower than dial-up for a short time. Then right back to normal.

It's just weird, I'm not tech-illiterate, was born in '91, so I've grown up with the net. And having similar issues with both cellphone, and laptop, with both cell service, and internet... Just leaves me scratching my head.

Maybe I have to turn it off, and turn it back on.

using the old double "socks" proxy i see

I'm not having an issue getting on ATS at all, and my ATT internet sucks SO BAD, might want to try and clear your cache.

This site has always been flaky on verizon wireless for me, never a problem when connected through COX. Even when using / testing at the same time.

Also try clearing out your cache and cookies... It might run like it's all new again... (CAVEAT: you'll have to re-enter your name/passwords on all sites after a cleaning and clearing).

Maybe run "Malwarebytes" (or similar) for a good cleaning...

I'll chime in. It is pretty slow throughout the day for me as well. Sometime pages won't load, images(including avatars) don't load frequently, and the upload page is the biggest culprit.

I test my connection and it's fine. Other sites load quick, but ATS just doesn't want to load quite often.

It's to the point where when I'm actually saying something important I have to copy all before hitting post, because sometimes it hangs, and doesn't submit the post at all.


It actually just did it. I'll try and upload a screenshot. Also, sometimes after posting it'll put me on some absurd page number. Like their could be three pages in a thread, and I'll be on like page 152 lol





Speak of the devil. It's doing it every single time now. After every edit it does what's shown in the image provided.
