Help me say goodbye to John

ATS, I would like to request a prayer of your choosing for my father in law, John.

John is 73yo and will likely be joining his wife in Heaven tonight. My wife and family are taking it very hard, as he was just working (for fun) last summer. After multiple heart-related episodes and surgeries, he's now experiencing multiple organ failure and the hospice nurse and Dr said tonight might very well be his last. It's also Promenade for our eldest daughter, and my wife just left her father's bedside to take pictures of her daughter. She just called me crying looking for the strength to get through taking pictures, and I gave her all I could. My children will lose their grandfather tonight, a man from a different time.

Throughout his life John was a master electrician and devoted husband. He was a pilot, a sincere car collector and gun enthusiast. He taught each of his children how to shoot, a family tradition that is now being passed down to my children. Many people are at his home right now, taking final pictures and saying their goodbyes. I'm at home with the kids, as the mood is just too heavy over there for them. I said goodbye last night to this man from a different time.

Won't you say a prayer that he finds his loved ones in the afterlife?

I hurt for you all, as I know how gut heart soul wrenching that hospice time can be, knowing your loved one is going soon. Just indescribable, the pain and helplessness. I’m especially praying for your wife, that she have peace, and for you, hat you are her rock and your kids’ rock while still being able to mourn with them. ❤️

My thoughts and prayers are for John, that he may transition to a new existence, at peace and be with his beloved wife and other departed loved ones. 🙏🏻

Prayers over your father-in-law, wife, kids, you and your family. Praying for peace and comfort and that yes, when it is his time he passes over to have a mighty joyful reunion with loved ones. You wrote such a beautiful testimony of his life. I am also praying that when it is his time to pass that he do so gently and beautifully. Beautiful may sound bizarre, but I have heard of beautiful passings and this is what I wish for him. Huge hugs.

Prayers said for everyone!
Tomorrow is the day my Mother died, 25 years ago. Dad followed her on the 19th. Both were unexpected.
Hubby’s buddy died last year on the 16th too. May used to be my favorite month. Now, not so much!

So many elderly family members, have seen deceased loved ones before they died, that it can’t be a coincidence!
Even some that weren’t conscious, called out deceased family member’s names. They must come to meet them & help them cross over.

How sweet is this? Because of your family John is a
very lucky man. I don't understand why you're taking this
so hard. I mean sure you hate to see him go. But he's about
to leave all this misery behind and get to see his wife again.
Of course you'll miss him but it's not forever. Death is a past
of life. Again it sounds like he's one of the lucky ones. He
has a family that loves him. Try not to take it to hard.

" “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking
into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you
into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen
him go into heaven.”
