Kick ass show, they are wrapping it up with season 6. The authors of the books said they are not passing up the storyline in the books like GOT did.

I've sat through the first season (didn't have much nice to say about the cadence & still don't) wasn't much kinder to season 2, the third started to hook me better, the 4th had me interested in the 5th season, and that #ing 5th season finale, WTF PEOPLE. I get cliffhangers, but #, that's an epic one for this of us who didn't read the books yet & don't know what's next.

Also, HUGE round of applause to Cara Gee (Camina Drummer) for that rage-fit & whiskey slam in her quarters -- I had no idea she was eight months knocked up doing those scenes, holy cow! Props also to the camera folks, too, takes skills to hide that bump so well


Edit: Deebs, I loved that character they spaced last season too, ain't going to be the same without his musings

For those who haven't read the books something like that is obviously very jarring. It's somewhat divisive, with those who have read the books bitching at us who haven't to read them and get the "real" story. I'm stuck in a Discworld realm for my next thirty or so books so I can't get to GOT until after that. Don't have the Expanse books and I'm not gonna pay for them right now, maybe later.

The books are always better but a few do make the cut: Silence Of The Lambs, To Kill A Mockingbird are just a couple.

I watched B5 when it was airing and tbh, I never was madly in love with it. too zany and seemed to lack an overall vision.
I was considering farscape for zany (And a mild crush on a young Rebecca Black)
Did the BSG reboot. She loved it. Totally turning her into a geek.

I was considering Doctor Who (well, Eccelston to the first season of Cappaldi anyhow...before it became a sjw joke) but I think that might be pushing it a bit. Maybe she would get into Smith, but I think Tennant might be a bit too outlandish for her, and the first season (reboot) stories kinda did suck.

Decisions decisions. Really I just want them to get around to launching the next stargate...or finish Universe

This show is so good I actually went and read all of the books and HOLY #! They are better than the show of course!
But guess what? The people who write the show are the writers of the books and we all know TV doesn't have the budget to truly do a 1:1 adaptation so they change things around.

They both get to the same places meaning the show follows the archs of the books but are written differently to cut the story down. So they get to the same place but the books are so much more grand and are super digestable and fun to read because it's completely different than the show yet the same.

Read the books my friend, you will love them!

Oh yeah. I have watched the entire 5 seasons twice now. Can't wait for October, when they are releasing season 6th. But it will be the last season...

I am not sure that Amazon will release a series as good as The Expanse is.

The Expanse gives us some small visions of the future that the CCP loyalist democrat leaders are leading us to. In the series over half percent of the population has no jobs. All jobs are controlled by the governments, just like in communist regimes. The population that has no jobs have a basic income but it's not enough so a lot of them have to live under bridges, in sewers, etc.

Although we mostly get to see where the elites live throughout the series we do get some small glimpses of what will happen to the majority of American, and world populations if the CCP loyalist democrats and socialist world leaders get away with their crimes against humanity.

BTW, Amazon is also about to release a LOTR series and a new LOTRO game. The game will be released in 2022. They were claiming the series would be released later this year.

I am hoping that they won't try to inject sjw/deny culture/cancel culture bs into the series... But this is Amazon, so you never know. :/
