Sometimes it is not smart to be a lone wolf hero

What has happen in America ? Driving down a public street which is blocked by protestors. Protestors will not move so there are words traded and weapons drawn.. The protestor were already armed and pointing weapons. Our hero made several tactical errors and is lucky he did not end up deader than dead IMO.

I was once flying with a guy who was a black belt in (?? don't remember) .. His mother had died and he was closing out her house in California. He was walking to a nearby convenience store for a snack when six young bucks decided he was an easy mark. As they passed him one hit him in the back of the head but unlike the movies he turned around to face them. The fight did not last long even though the ages of the six ranged from 14 to 17 years of age. He had the X-Rays in his flight bag showing how his jaw had been wired back together and of his three broken ribs.. He said he would have died if a car had not come buy and screamed they we're calling the police. Anyway here is the video... Stupid as no matter how big a tough you think you are to ignore the facts does not change the facts unless you are in some Chinese action movie as a hero. youtu.be...

Kids these days were clearly not taught to not play in the middle of the fkn road.

There are some states that have been passing new laws that protect the driver's in situations such as this, that hit idiots in the road, but in my opinion there needs to be a federal law that does so.

If there were a federal law protecting drivers who are using the road for what it was built for, then maybe people will learn that it's not a good place to play.

I’m glad everyone was able to walk away from this alive. This stuff is becoming so dangerous. The whole thing is idiotic... I’m not an anti-gun person but why go to a protest with weapons? Why try to meddle with a group of armed individuals? Actually I can’t believe that out of all the idiots in the saga no one died.

So more federal laws are needed? More power to the government? I think it defeats the basic purpose of any protest done no matter if you are left or right. Some people are willing to submit to government so easy.

Laws that protect people who are using the road for the purpose it was meant to be used? Yes!

Power to the Government? No, protection to the driver whom is merely driving.

I’m no law expert but I’m pretty sure that there are laws that protect drivers/individuals as a whole. If what you want is a law prohibiting people from protesting in the streets then what you want is more government restrictions on your rights.

Um. I dunno how these "protestors" keep getting away with # like this. But it sure seems pretty close to civil war to me. Next time it might not be one guy.


As a side note, he had at least 3 guns pointed at him and the road blocked, then the "protestors" turn around and have the audacity to scream " you pointed a weapon at us!!!". These people make me sick.

Nobody knows the rules. Don't brandish your weapon unless you
intend to use your weapon. Drawing it to intimidate will only
get you dead. Lucky this time. But you never just point a gun
at people. You only point to take someone out or just don't
even bring it. I learned that watching this guy.

I was in Seattle many years ago during a major protest... there were no "alternate routes" for those of us with jobs downtown. We were stuck there as a collective of dipsnip punks played things exactly the way the government wants them played: with everyday productive citizens standing as the primary group inconvenienced and expensed by people angry at the government.

You're partially correct in your claims on people's rights... BUT the real issue here is that none of this crap actually impacts those in a position to change anything. That was attempted (in a laughable, half hearted and carefully controlled manner) on Jan. 6th... and we all see how swiftly the government got off their fat ass and cried about what a horrible thing that real protest was.

Don’t get me wrong. Finding yourself in traffic due to a protest sucks. It has happened to me as well a few times. In one I was stuck in traffic for about 2 hours... major suck!!! But no one time my mind went to “let me just run this people over”. Today is them protesting and tomorrow it could be me and I wouldn’t want a crazy derange lunatic to deny me of my rights.

He removed himself from what little cover there was, he banished a weapon, and spoke big harsh words.. Stupid again with one against a mob.... words and actions usually only come from the mob group think leader.
Negative numerical advantage on his part not to mention the fire power aimed in his direction. Groups have a psychological dynamic all their own as groups behave in accordance with group expectations. And group expectations are pretty much lowest-common-denominator of structure and goals once discipline is lost.

As soon as he broke cover and pulled a gun would it have been OK to shoot him right there in self defense (prolly not anyplace in California). Was it proper for him to pull a gun to defend himself from the mob after numerous videos of people pulled from cars and beaten to death by some little darlin mob idiot ? ? When it proceeds to what we have seen too much of, an angry mob swarming people who are simply trying to get from point A to point B, then there is a definite "fear for your lofe" factor. Remember, Reginald Denny didnt do jack squat to interfere with protests and the animals swarmed his truck, drug him out, drilled him in the head with a brick, and danced like savages around his broken skull.

You better believe "hammer down" is Plan A if I ever find myself in the same situation. Much better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I’m old enough to remember, still gives me chills to think about it. I don’t see that here though...even when they restrained him they could had go to town with him and didn’t. James Field went with “hammer down” plan and that didn’t work out well for him.

The mistake made here was you never leave your vehicle. This guy did not hammer down, had he done so the problem in front of his truck wouldn't have remained a problem for long... That said, I'm not exactly understanding the mentality of anyone who is armed standing while someone else waves a firearm at you. Life has provided you with all you need to successfully extract yourself from that situation, so why in the hell stand there yelling and then get out of your truck?

Yeah I didn’t understand that either. I personally think he went there like many people talk here “I just run them over or shoot them...is my right!!!” but had seconds thoughts about it.

Edit to add: I also noticed that the protestors had vehicle escorts in the front and probably in the back which leads me to believe that they are getting better at protecting themselves from a random lunatic trying to run them over.
