The Expanse: A Prophetic Vision of Our Future?

Not sure if there are any fans to this Amazon series. To be honest I am amazed Amazon still has that series, although supposedly it will end on season 6th which will come out in October this year supposedly.

Well, apart from being a really good series. It touches upon a possible future that imo is similar to what the left will do to the U.S. and the world to a certain point.

In the series there are no more countries. There is no U.S., the UN is the world body, or the ones in charge of the New World Order on Earth. Throughout the series you find out that all jobs are controlled by the governments (Mars has it's own government which also controls all jobs), and there aren't enough for everyone. In the series over half of the population on Earth, Mars, and the Asteroid Belt, have no jobs. People are given a "basic income" every month. But it is not enough and most of these people have to live under bridges, in sewers, etc, like hobos.

In real life the future that democrats and their CCP/world elites partners want, and are leading us to, will be worse. It will be probably be 80%-90% of the population that will be living in the worse conditions you can imagine.

Anyway, back to the series; Resources are scarce, and air, food and water have become commodities which the rich and top people in this future world can enjoy more than others. The others, more so those in the asteroid belt aka "The Belters", are barely given enough air, and water to survive. Many times their recycling systems fail and the rich/the governments do nothing about it and let tens of thousands or more die.

Heck, when our protagonists find out about the "proto-molecule" the rich, or at least one of them named Mao, has made a deal with the second highest official in the UN to do experiments mostly on the people at the bottom of the ladder, "The Belters" and inhumane experiments are done on these people. "Supposedly for the good of everyone." These experiments cause a lot of suffering and an agonizing death to those whom are injected with the "proto-molecule."

The proto-molecule is an alien bioweapon which is intelligent, it learns and adapts from what it learns from it's hosts. But eventually the protagonists find out that the "proto-molecule" is more than just a bio-weapon. But I won't spoil it if anyone wants to watch it.

Anyway. I am a big fan of the series, but I couldn't help and realize how close to the truth of what world we are being led to is projected in this series.

I also like the series and had the same thoughts. It was interesting seeing how the 'basic income' plan was adapted and how people would sign up to be considered for job training, but were never called up. I thought the show did a great job depicting how different cultures would evolve based on what they had and where they were. Really cool

Why don't they just come in with troops and weapons and do the whole despotic regime thing? Surely that doesn't seem too hard to do?

Why have some dubious and circuitous plan with so many points of failure, instead of some direct militaristic actions?

Great story.
The novels were published in 2011.
The circumstances surrounding the Proto molecule are very interesting.
I think a large part of the story is about: when faced with an existential threat, the bickering political factions of humans are very likely to wipe them selves out, and what it really takes to save humanity are a small group of outlaws, who are flawed as humans are, but put their life on the line for a greater purpose.

Well. i can only speculate. IMO world leaders, at least most of them, are very aware that mankind is not the cause of Climate Change. We are, and have been, moving to a new region of the Local Fluff in which temperatures are over 1 million degrees kelvin. It is a denser section of the Local Fluff, and since the 1970s at least several astronomers and astrophysicists have been speculating that as we move into this new region of the Local Fluff dramatic changes will occur on Earth, including dramatic Climate Changes.

I made a thread about this several times, first around 2004, and then again a few years back. In those threads I posted scientific articles, and how we have been encountering sections of this cloud which could account for all the changes we have been seeing on Earth, including Climate Change.

Heck, in one of the last scientific articles I posted both Pluto and it's moon Charon have been emitting more x-rays(they are warming up massively even though Pluto has been warming up and getting hotter as it was orbiting away from the Sun for over a decade) than their cores are supposed to cause, which has many scientists "supposedly puzzled."

Anyway, TPTB know we can't do anything about this. We can only adapt. But this adaptation will be through a lot of suffering. Those massive changes won't just be about temperatures increasing and then decreasing massively. The incidence of earthquake intensity and frequency will continue increasing. Within about 90 years we will be completely inside this new region of the Local Fluff and that will be when we will see the worse problems if we are able to adapt to those changes.

Anyway, TPTB will not go public with what is really causing climate change and instead are making people believe we can control these changes. Which is why they claim "we are the cause of Climate change and can control the changes," when this is simply a lie.

They are already trying that in case you haven't noticed. in Canada, Europe, and the U.S. under the "claim of fighting climate change and for the good of all."

You do know that in the real world you, I and most people will be the ones living under bridges, in sewers and getting barely any money from the "basic income plan"?...

Even if you are a professional, a professor of science, a talented technician, etc, most of us won't have any jobs and will be the "Belters" and other humans living under bridges, and getting a pittance of money which won't be enough for anything except whatever food we are told we can buy, if we have the money.

Then after most people were disarmed they started arming more and more the Chavistas. Some police officers that were against this were either murdered, or outright fired.

In the U.S. it will be worse because they know most of our police officers are good people and don't care what people's political affiliations are. They are supposed to protect all law abiding Americans, and the CCP democrats don't want that. They want to have all power and the ability to put in jail anyone with enough popularity to cause trouble for the CCP democrats, and whom would dare oppose any of China Biden's policies. To do this, make political opposition to the left completely criminal, they need our current Law Enforcement Agencies to be gone. The people whom will be the "civilian national security force" will be the BLM and Antifa type violent left-wingers.

Does anyone remember the "mandatory voluntary service force" Obama also talked about? There are several threads, and I wrote a few of those as well with excerpts from the bills, and if you read how they will chose whom will lead this "civilian service force" you will see that the left will be in charge of whom will lead these people. This is to keep only loyalists in these groups.'

Sure, most would prefer a threat posed by our own species rather than some cosmic source over which we wield zero influence. In the one, at least there is some hope: what humans do, we can theoretically undo. Whereas the other option appears so far beyond our influence that its source might as well be divine.

Perhaps this isn't about individuals separately owning guns, but more about them being part of a well regulated militia, like it says?

The U.S. constitution, and the Bill of RIghts within it, limit the power of the government and makes sure there are checks and balances between each branch of the U.S. government, and their powers are separate. But CCP democrats/anti-Trumpers want to have total control over all three branches and for no checks and balances to exist. For a long time left-wingers/globalists/never-Trumpers have been working in dissolving these limits of power, and the U.S. Constitution, and slowly have been taking away rights which are unalienable.

This is the first time, that I am aware of, of a "military stand down for 60 days." Normally the "stand downs" are for a few hours, or a day or so, but as far as I know I haven't heard of a "military stand down for 60 days to go after political opponents to the left."
