I wonder if there may be other factors involved. How do testing rates compare? Positivity rates? Population density? These things should be considered. But good for Texas. Hopefully it won't get bad again. They're getting close to 50% vaccinated, that's good.


Your source seems to be obsolete, btw. Case counts are declining in New Jersey, unlike Texas. Have been all month.

People have been predicting a pandemic for a while. The freedom of international travel and vast numbers of people doing so being the main problem. Makes it easy for a disease to spread from continent to continent and thus become pandemic.
