You really think police in the US need better funding? Their budget is currently just slightly less than the Chinese military's budget. For all intents and purposes they're the third most well funded military force in the world. And you think they need more funding?

Maybe if the police took their current budget, or God forbid a smaller budget, and put it towards practical things instead of tanks and military-grade weapons a lot if issues could be solved. If you start equipping your police like soldiers is it really any surprise when they start thinking they can kill with impunity?

Here's my take ...

Chauvin gets an appeal, new trial, different verdict. Cities burn, police told to stand down. Police deemed ineffective as well as racist.

Push for local LE to be disbanded, to be replaced with a Federal Police Force. Made up of minorities so as not be 'racist'. Probably made up of recruits from the far left, radical BLM, ANTIFA, etc. Wouldn't be surprised to hear recruiting for gang members. "Give these poor young men a decent, respectable job to better their lives." (AOC, et al)

Think they might recycle the 'Deaths Head' insignia, or the SS lightning bolts?

No. America is not fed up with cops. A small percentage (they are on the news a lot) thinks they are fed up with the cops.

What power do you think Police Unions have? Did you know that it is illegal for cops and fireman to strike. If the police wanted to strike, they legally cannot.

George Floyd posed zero threat. He resisted, but he never attempted to hurt anybody. He would still be alive if Chauvin hadn't murdered him. The jury saw that and found him guilty with very little deliberation. It was a murder caught on video. It's not often that a jury gets that kind of evidence to go off of.

The first time a Perpetrator is shot it will be called white supremacy.

The shooter will be a black middle class dude but the media will say he has whiteness inside him and as a result everybody will be indirectly told even if you're black and don't support us you will be considered white and an enemy to the cause.

Research shows that as the number of 1033 transfers increase (1033 is the program police departments use to receive surplus military equipment) the number of police related fatalities also increase to a significant degree. Meanwhile, the violent crime rate has decreased since the introduction of 1033.

So clearly there are officers out there who think they are soldiers and law enforcement.

And about 75% of any agency’s budget is spent on salary and benefits. That leaves around 25% to pay for everything from gas to training to software licensing to “tanks.” That’s why when people like you talk about cutting budgets or “reallocating” money you’re in reality talking about a comparative drop in the bucket. To make any significant budgetary difference you would have to cut into salary, which is generally crap at the local level to begin with.

This is a Post about all the Police in the USA , not just one dummy police officer who ignored procedure .

He would still be alive on Two counts one Chauvin two The 10x lethal dose of fentanyl .

They both contributed .

Take one away he would still be alive , They call that critical thinking try it sometime.
