Only one of them had the authority to sign for the cause of death.

Sure, lots of experts with different opinions though. As I said Floyd had so many really bad things going on with him that Chauvin was like the straw that broke the camel's back. The problem is they were serious conditions not known, so was it murder or manslaughter... I personally think that after the huge struggle in the police SUV Floyd was already on his way of having a heart attack and Chauvin exasperated it.

I'm guessing that common sense is not your strongest point?

Sure if 98% O2 saturation can happen without your lungs working...

Yes, it is. The knee on the neck restricted airflow to the point of hypoxia.

I agree but that wasn't the cause of his death...

With CPR and and ventilation with O2, yes it can.

According to the experts, it was. I'll believe them over you. And so did the jury. Every one of them.

Did they say that in court?

Hypoxia was listed as the cause of death? You can also get hypoxic if your heart stops...

I don't know. Did the prosecution pursue your point?

Who cares? The person who examined the decedent arrived at a very specific cause of death and it indicated Chauvin's actions were it.

That's just too stupid to comment on.

I know this isn't the end of police brutality, we still have a LONG way to go, but this is a big step for America as a whole. In the past 30 years since Rodney King, we have been watching police officers get away with abuse of people over and over again. It's great to see one finally get justice and hopefully it's a sign of things getting better in the future.

They also listed a number of other factors such as

fentanyl toxicity can include "severe respiratory depression"

I have already said a bunch of times Chauvin has fault in all this and that is why I said manslaughter fits, but the Murder convictions were purely mob rule driven...

So there is no point in trying to change my mind on that....lol

They listed one cause of death. The end.

I know a lot of you are heavily invested in this emotionally, it's showing, but you're gonna have to deal with reality.

What's the evidence other than Chauvin being white and Floyd being black?

Have you ever seen an ostrich with its head buried in a pile of hollowpoint ammunition, like Tony Montana but with a different drug?

I asked you a serious question.

You provide no answer. You want us to believe that race is the motivating factor here. Where's the evidence of that?

Not sure emotions is the right word. I like to discuss and that is about it. I think there was way too much influence and it could hurt the case in the end....

Why is my definition "unique"?

Because asked four times for an example of a police officer rightfully found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder by your definition, you failed to supply one.

What was the harm? No bruises or any other damages such as reduction in O2. Used an official technic taught to all the cops, considered the lesser of restraints... The prosecution didn't prove harm...

Twelve jurors said they did. The lack of neck bruising is irrelevant. The prolonged strangulation was the 'assault and actual bodily harm'.

No, but OJ's case shows that what is the real truth doesn't always match the verdict.

If you're going to evaluate this case from the outcome of quite different cases, at least be consistent. You said earlier, "Its our system and one that works most of the time" - so it most likely worked this time.

...if the jurors went the other way there would have been massive riots and the jurors could easily become under threat, more today then back then.

That is why he was convicted on all charges... I would have done the same...

That's what you tell yourself because you cannot accept the verdict.

I did. I chose to read the entire thing though. If you only read the headline you do not know the whole story. Like the media today.

Look up the amounts that he had in his body and compare to OD's. Then add the rest. A large man who is used to a substance may be able to handle it but that does not make it right.
