But is it even on Mars...

No, it's not, because then you'd have to fake the radio telemetry that's actually coming from Mars to fool all the potatoes that think it's actually not on Mars.

That's an insult to potatoes. They're smarter than that.

You should reach out to this guy, he might be able to educate you on how absurdly simple it is to pick up the transmissions.

Surely, they were Marshed potatoes.

Sorry, I'll leave now...

Lol. Triggered commies. A true liberal wouldnt care if someone believed it's on a dome-shaped Earth or on Mars. Trolled unsecure trolls.
Who cares about zucking Mars anyway? You will never put your foot on it. Even if you could, trillion dollars later a small solar storm would kill you.
Everything can be faked these days. With the right software I could run a Youtube channel looking like UK queen and you wouldnt notice. Biden could be dead for months.
Thanks for reminding us the reason this site still exists.

How do we get these parasites off our backs is the right question. The government and corporations playing big boy games with debt money. It's a big club and you aint in it. Even when you pretend to be in the same team. You are followers reading about stuff in magazines

According to the radio telemetry from SPUDnik...they were Red potatoes.

I'm leaving too.

Good, everyone leave πŸ™‚It's bread and games. Not for you tho πŸ˜ƒ
It happened before to NASA. No playing golf on planets will make it better. I can feel it in the air, in the threads.

NASA have released a higher quality video of the flight showing the spin up , lift off , maneuvers and landing of Mars Helicopter.

Historic.

Martians are pissed.

First those crawly machines, now those noisy drones.

I don't think this thing can fly very far or long...based on the battery's ability to give the extra power needed to fly in Mars' atmosphere.

Apparently, it can fly some 50 metres away and back, as each flight can last only 90 seconds.

This is was mostly a technological test to confirm the possibility of using powered aircraft on Mars.

The original plan is only for 5 flights.

It would be interesting to know if they recorded the sound of the helicopter, now that they have a working microphone on Mars.

That very question was put forth in another thread. It was pretty far away from the rover though. Not sure how the sound would carry in that thin atmosphere.

I thought it would be interesting, even if it was just a whisper, as many people today are familiar with the sound of the drones and that would give those people a better understanding of how would be to live on Mars.

It is a little known fact, Norm, that the drone has a patch of the kite from Kitty Hawk on it.

That is pretty damn cool how far we have gone in so short a time.

Save Ferris!!

Oh, yeah. Wait until the History channel has an eight years series trying to rescue the helicopter drone!!
