Here is a link To a study

Resolute development of the already explored and accessible Ukrainian resources could result in a substantial increase of Ukrainian gas production. The boost would not only enable the country to fully cover its domestic gas needs, but also make Ukraine largely self-sufficient from an energy perspective. In a best-case scenario, increased production could even allow Ukraine to start exporting gas to or via neighboring European states. This would be feasible because Ukraine’s substantial gas transportation system means that the necessary infrastructure is already in place to bring large amounts of gas to the EU. According to some estimates, the EU will import around 90 percent of the gas it consumes by 2030. Thus, during the next decade, Brussels will be increasingly eager to diversify the origins and routes of the European gas supply. In this context, smaller or even prospective gas exporters like Ukraine become more attractive to policymakers in Brussels: such new participants in the European market would lower EU dependency on the large players in the field, thus strengthening the European negotiating position.

They hold more cards in this game than most think.....

Did you know Ukraine has enough coal to sustain itself for almost 600 years.......
Also with “electric cars” being all the rage..... what powers those plants that produce the worlds electricity???

Would love to expand more, but have to work early.... added this to the WWIII forum because as you know; “absolute power corrupts absolutely” (they have it)...

The EU has a high population with low natural resources. Russia sees Ukraine as a way to benefit from their rocky past to control energy on the continent. I don't see Russia flinching on this one though. Ukraine is not NATO.

Why do you think the Obama administration, Hillary, and Biden had such serious interest in Ukraine?

Power. Resources. Money.

America's spent 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan for oil and poppy fields, now let's take a dump in Russia's backyard for some natural gas and coal. This strategy doesn't sound like part of Biden's Green New Deal at all.

It does to me- the green new deal was never about being green, its about power and control.

Obama had us all set up for WW3 with Russia when he left office, and Hillary was all set to step in and kick it off.
Then in 2016 when they didn't cheat hard enough to win, suddenly everyone forgot about war with Russia and started their four year assault on Trump.
They didn't make the same mistake twice, and now they're back on track with their goal to start a huge war, and then intentionally lose it. The collapse of the petrodollar will devastate most of the world and allow those with power to do what they do best- get more power.

Russia is preparing to annex Donetsk and Lugansk. This has been in the works since 2014 with Crimea, and 2016-2020 put it on hold.

Now we have a soft, senile president. Russia has already amassed on the border, this doesn't happen unless they are making a move.

Soon they will have elections to defect from Ukraine, and Russia will back them stating the 'protecting ethnic Russian' tag, and you will see lots of little green men.

Ukraine is very important.

The US/EU backed Revolution of Dignity was a pretty transparent event that the mainstream media just ignores. We would rather install Nazis than have a pro-Kremlin Ukraine.

Russia has a problem and that is that they are aging and haven’t been playing nice with their neighbors. They will never be a superpower ever again as they have exhausted their country of trust, hope, and opportunity. The brain drain of the 1990s and the fracturing of the oligarchs will leave the Russians without anything but nukes. Not an ideal situation for anyone.
