I need to go back and watch the future documentary “Idiocracy” to see what happens next in our history’s time line.

I'll save you some time. We pour toilet water on Atlanta.

And it winds up cleaner than before.

When you have people with some power using sports to play politics I say get rid of it, they do not need to be acting like Politicians, we already have that Political trash in government.

Political activist do not belong in sports.

Soccer still seems fine...maybe its because its the rest of the worlds top sport and there are just to many national interests for anyone to agree on a "cause" lol. Thank god!

And let's face it, sports has been slowly circling the bowl for years.
It's not sustainable.

The announcers have gotten more PC. The broadcasts are not as good as they used to be. The players make way too much money. The tickets are getting out of reach for many, and add parking and concession prices!!!!

Then Covid hit and it is hurting the franchises. They should be thinking about their fan base....and not the woke.

This goes for all sports: NASCAR, the PGA and affiliates, NHL, NFL, NBA, MBL.

I am aware of this too, since the football political activist started to bend the knee I lost interest in any of the sports, do not care anymore and also wonder how they will get the money to pay for their overpaid players, no fan in the stadiums, I will never pay for any seasonal passes at home. I guess money is been made with fantasy sports now.

Think about who this really hurts: the people who work the game and make it happen for them. Parking lot attendants, concession folks, security, all the thousand and one little guys behind the scenes ... none of them are making a buck to take home that day now. But, you know, we have to make a point about politics.

You guys get to possibly go hungry, not make a bill, or maybe miss rent, but it's for your own good.

Lmao no one ever thinks of that...
The production people are the ones who make all these things happen and 9/10 times they are the first to be considered expendable. Without those people none of this entertainment stuff happens.

Oh!
This is priceless.
MLB requires photo ID to pick up tickets from Will Call, but boycotts Georgia for voter ID law

Major League Baseball responded to calls to boycott the state of Georgia over a controversial new voter-ID law by moving the All-Star game out of the Peach State.

But teams still requires fans to show photo ID to pick up their tickets from the Will Call booth.

The hypocrisy!
All the things we require IDs for in our lives.
And some groups, corporations, states and politicians have the unmitigated gall to want the voting privilege to be abused by not requiring ID.

That was great. Many of the comments express fear for Barkley's safety or being cancelled by the left. It will be interesting to see what happens...Barkley has been on SNL four times; they love him.

This is purely speculation, but....

OMFG this years All-Star Game is going too be both dedicated to and in honor of George Floyd.

Milwaukee Mayor asks MLB to consider the city for All-Star Game

Manfred made the decision to move the All-Star events and the amateur draft from Atlanta after discussions with individual players and the Players Alliance, an organization of Black players formed after the death of George Floyd last year, the commissioner said in a statement.

I used to think that baseball was supposed to be about... you know..... um playing Baseball?

MLB has no place getting into the politics of elections.

Sports needs to learn they are entertainment, not politics.

Familiar tropes.

Corporations are people! Money is free speech, so says the United States Supreme Court.

Politicians eagerly solicit donations from corporations, to lobby lawmakers to make laws on their behalf. They spend billions upon billions of dollars telling consumers what to think and what to like. Corporations like Disney and Walmart have their police forces. Corporations employ more Americans than small independent businesses. Even more people benefit as corporate shareholders. Corporations keep America's economy ticking along.

The US Government uses big media corporations to promote influence government interests and patriotism. Media generated government propaganda gave Ronald Reagan, John Wayne and Theodor Seuss Geisel their careers foundation. Most TV shows like NCIS and The FBI, etc. are grant funded, in part, by the US government.

Between corporate employment, stockholders/shareholders and consumers, corporations have a much larger influence over populations that lawmakers do. If corporation should have a sense of community, I don't know why they shouldn't have a sense to support their employees, their stock and shareholders and their consumers voices in the political arena, when those voices are loud enough to be heard from the board room.

How much do those tickets cost? How are they paid for, by credit card? How much does it cost to vote?

We can't even do sports any longer.

Sports, media, entertainment is all tainted by politics.

Sad isn’t it? You still have to stand for what you believe in regardless of the outcome.
